Another missing post!!!!I wrote one yesterday and clicked it away....to where knows!!!!and then this morning reading the posts it isnt there,so I click on the restore auto content ...nothing ...nish nada..thats twice recently ..its either a bad internet or a bad operator .I know where my money is ..

hope everyone is doing well.pretty cold over here its frosty.

hiya Lav ,how are you doing? ok I hope .I went up in the world of technology yesterday ..I upgraded my kindle to a kindle fire 8..a great deal..brand new I got it half price ..I havent worked it all out yet but its a kindle reader with internet properties.so its like a mini tablet..and its in colour. the HP tour is quite expensive ,but it is a one off experience .Glad the kitchen job is done...hope you have a good weekend .

MAE ALL...and finally it's the weekend!! Open stage night tonight, Food Trucks in the parking lot, reduced parking as we're installing solar panels on the roof and the installation guys have blocked off 10 spots. What a mess. The accountant (who's in charge of the food trucks because it was her idea) actually was still here when they showed up wondering where they were going to park. Right then and there I decided I'm taking my other 1/2 hour off and left. LOL

Slo...sorry to hear about your Mom's credenza. That's a shame, I'm sure she has some great memories tagged to that. Wow, even a bike ride. You were energetic yesterday. "So Help Me Todd" is one of my favorite show too. LOL

Pi...wish I could get the "it's only money" attitude. I'd still be crying. Nope, I wouldn't have been able to write the cheque in the first place. LOL

TG...I hear you about being so unused to flying. I wouldn't even know where to start anymore. Glad you arrived safely and that you'll be able to get along. I hope you can chill too. Take the time to just enjoy the lake.

A little late but I’m here
Everyone sounds good, busy too! Only hit 80 degrees today, haha! Rain is coming in tomorrow then we go back to more seasonal temps for this part of the country.

Cyn, glad you are in your magical place with a magical poodle, LOL. I hope Lola can chill out with you

PQ, yo sure have had a busy week along with crappy weather, sorry about that. Good to hear your sons are stepping up to contribute to household expenses.

Pie, we had rehabbed 3 older houses before we built this one 20 years ago. We had lots of friends in the trades, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, etc so we got very reasonable prices. Sorry your electrical work was so $$. I hope everything goes well with your boarder & his time with you not too long.

Slo, glad your Mom’s move is done, sorry about the furniture breakage. Hopefully the mover is insured for that kind of thing. I actually didn’t think about putting kitchen pictures on FB. Guess I’ve been too preoccupied, haha! Only got 30 minutes of walking in today, it will have to do.

Another gorgeous day here!
I got to learn how to play “Hand & Foot” card game today with some women in the condo neighborhood, with the hopes that we will start playing cards together!
My wooden filing cabinet got delivered today, and I made plans to have the walls in the main living areas of my condo plus the kitchen island painted, in August.

The moving company called today and offered my mother $100 for the piece of furniture that they ruined. What a rip-off! They then offered to look for a similar, substitute piece. Not sure they make those types of things so much anymore, but maybe they’ll find one. Like a small display case that lights up on the inside, and also is a nice piece of wooden furniture on the outside. She is happy that her four glass table tops all made it there fine.

I talked it out with my one daughter today about how Easter went down, and we talked about some of the issues RE navigating these holidays post-divorce. I think we came to a meeting of the minds.

TGIF, PQ! Doug & the accountant can handle the food trucks and open-mike night!

I hope the change of scenery does you good, TG.

I think we get one more nice day here, Lav; before the unseasonably warm temps plummet and the rain moves in.

Good morning everyone and how are we today then? Hope all is well. A crazy day weather wise yesterday over here, it was raining and I put some plants in they would get really well watered, and this morning it is sunny but we have had a heavy Frost! We go away next weekend, up the east coast and into Scotland so fingers crossed the weather will be okay.
Hiya ppqp how are you today? yes the weekends is here. Have you got any plans for the weekend or just taking it easy? How is the nosmo king campaign going?are you managing?I am watching a programme on television. Race across the world. It is about five couples racing each other across Canada and the winner obviously against the money, however the scenery is absolutely fantastic. The latest episode Wars that they were going across Alberta and had been to Calgary Edmonton and Banff. It was great to see the scenery. Hope you have a great weekend

Hi all, I visited nearby farmers market this morning. Twice a month they sell produce boxes for $20. The items inside are predetermined, so it’s kind of an adventure to figure out what’s what, and find recipes. Today’s box included snap peas, beets, onions, cilantro, oregano, chard, kale, collard greens, and one other green leafy item that might be a kind of lettuce, but I simply don’t know.

I did saut?ed some snap peas for lunch, and lining up on making oregano pesto. Cilantro will go into hummus, but that’s all I’ve got so far. Any recipe ideas welcome!

Mick, I found the radio story from a few days ago. Seems pet stores in Britain halted sales of rabbits over Easter weekend. Goal was to prevent impulse purchases by people unprepared to provide good rabbit care.

Lav, I did have a reasonably priced electrician from when I rehabbed this condo. Couldn’t reach him though, so …

The kitchen project is officially completed. YB sat & shined up all the knobs then installed them, looks great. What project shall we do next? Hmmm

Slo, I’m not familiar with Hand & Foot, likely because no one plays cards here. Sounds like fun though.
That moving company needs to cough up more cash, much, much more!! I think I would pester them for a while haha. Glad you talked with your daughter & got your thoughts through. I hope future holidays go a lot smoother. Have fun with your youngest today.

I hope the frost hasn’t hurt your new plants. I’ve only collected a few so far but am holding off putting them in the ground, you never know around here.

Pie, they call those boxes ‘farm shares’ around here. I was signed up with a young Amish farmer & did it for a few years but had trouble using everything up. When I grow chard I lightly saut? it in a little olive oil & fresh garlic then add a pinch of dried red pepper flakes at teh end, yum
