    Re: 23rd April

    Good evening all,

We’re closing in on 1” of rain so far today. The rain will continue thru Sunday so it’s going to be a good bit!
I feel sorry for the outside cat but she won’t come inside. I have her ‘house’ covered in plastic & sitting under a big planter on the deck so hopefully she’ll be OK.

Mick, hope you’re improving a little each day. I agree, daytime TV stinks for the most part. I can stream TV shows & movies with my Amazon Prime membership but I generally can’t sit around long enough to watch anything haha. I hope your FIL stabilizes quickly. I know they can go from good to bad in a split second so they need to be watched carefully.
YB will do most jobs around here if I pester him long enough but some things he won’t touch & that’s OK (especially if you want things done correctly) haha!!

Slo, I hope you have a great visit with your daughter & Happy Birthday to her
If I do get down to Bed Bath & Beyond it will be for gifts. I am in the process of clearing out unused/unwanted stuff here & don’t want to replace it all haha.

Pie, glad you liked the cleaning results, sounds good!
Good to hear the dog may be adopted soon, that’s nice.

PQ, hope your Friday was excellent & your weekend is even better!

    Cyn, thinking of you!

Have a nice night all regardless of how many hours we actually sleep!

    Lav

MAE ALL… :yay: it’s the weekend :yay: Today was the celebration of life for the lady that was grateful for everything. It all went great only there was 3 times as many people as she thought. It wa s a packed house! I was glad to walk out and leave it all to the boss. LOL

Lav…we went from winter to full on summer. It was gorgeous out today with no precipitation in sight. Going to be hot and sunny for the next week. I’ll have to figure out BBQ meals. LOL Sounds like the loopy cat and your dog are doing ok even if you have to start walking her again. I like the idea of a smack upside the for the boss. I’ll be grilling him in more details for every decision he makes.

Mick…I’m sure you have to take a breather after doing a job. Don’t do too much too soon. I think you’re probably right with option 1 for your FIL. I’m not a daytime tv watcher either. Sorry you’ve had to cancel your trip but I’m glad most of them will credit you.

Slo…yes, the wasted work was annoying especially since I’m so busy right now. I will definitely be grilling him on any future plans before I jump in and do the work. I hope you enjoy your visit with your daughter tomorrow.

Pi…how nice that the cleaning Molly maids were a hit. Well done on keeping everyone in line. Good news about a potential adopter. Only found 2 items shopping for spring clothes and with my job work and fun are the same. Clothes wise anyways. Lol

TG…that was a long travel day for you. Don’t work too hard on all that packing. Sorry to hear about the miniature poodle, it is tough talk. You just keep plugging along and check in when you can, even if it isn’t until Tuesday morning.

As soon as it cools down a bit I’m going to make breakfast for dinner tonight. Have a good night all…:smile:PPQP

        Re: 23rd April

And good afternoon all how are we today then? Hope all is well. I am doing this post on my new phone, to see if it understands me any better than the other one did. Obviously not made for the Scottish market! Didn't sleep too well last night at all comma in fact I was awake until about four this morning coughing and spluttering and a splitting headache. to read but that was a waste of time, but eventually I nodded off. Julie is a way up to the hospital to see her dad, he slept most of the visit yesterday. When she got there, she found all of Her dad's things were packed up in bags ready to go. Julie asked a doctor where he was moving to and they didn't have a clue somebody obviously had got the message wrong and assumed that he was moving but the doctor in Charge said that wasn't the case. Just having a lazy weekend which to be honest with you does my head in full stop already been up in the loft with the trains comma and clean the line, be not in the garden and planted up some twigs that I had got to root as hedging along the back, cleaned the rabbits out, hoovered up and did a little bit of weeding, it sounds a lot but in actual fact it isn't really anyway enough of this waffle let's move on

Hiya ppqp how are you today then? Hope all is well for your weekend. We have got a four-day Festival to go to in the van at the end of May fingers crossed things should be a lot more stable by then. No daytime TV does not do it for me at all even if there is something on I cannot concentrate I would rather be out in the open take it easy and have a great weekend

Hiya lav how are you today then? And how is the loopy cat? Sounds like you're having a fair drop of rain over there no offence intended but I am sure it looks better over in that part of the world! We have got Amazon Prime and every other combination that goes with it Discovery Plus and every other channel, I enjoy watching them but it has to be at a time when I want to watch them not during the day if that kind of makes sense strangely enough when I was working and drinking Julie used to say my work was pretty shoddy and that was probably one of her best comments however since I quit both my work has improved immensely I think a lot of it is down to the time and interest. is the outside cat still living in her squat? Take care look after yourself and have a great weekend

Hiya slo how are you doing today? Hope things are okay with you and yours. Have you any plans for the weekend? I was trying to read back on the last post of the previous page on my laptop but the site won't let me in for some strange reason so if I have missed anything then I apologize

Hiya pie and teegee how are you both doing? Hope the weekend is being good to you. Pi that is great news about the possible adopting of the dog fingers crossed. Right good people that's me time to go, I've chatted to this machine long enough even it is getting bored with me! Take care all have a great weekend stay safe and sober

          MAE ALL

Mick...how disturbing to have Julie walk in and see all her Dad's stuff packed up. You really have to be your own health advocate these days as everyone is so overworked and short staffed. I'm glad she was there to sort thing out. Sorry to hear you're still suffering, I remember those wide awake all nighter's, they're a pain in the a$$. You're still pretty active to me, take it easy. We do get into our routines don't we. Even if you have a program recorded, the middle of the day is not the time to watch it! I hope everything gets sorted and you're able to get to your May festival.

Basking in the heatwave, we're currently at 24C and loving it. Going to see if the BBQ is still in working condition and cook some Porkchops for dinner. Shout out to the group....:smile:PPQP

            Re: 23rd April

            Greetings kids,

We had a surprise break in the rain. Today so we headed up to a few stores in town for supplies. Also did a little weeding & YB planted his onions.
The kitten felt well enough to slip out the door an hour or so ago, guess he was tired of being cooped up & needed to go do some exploring. The outside cat Penny has pretty much signed her departure ticket. I found the 5th dead bluebird today, that’s enough!!! As soon as we are able to get her in the Have a Heart trap she’s outta here. She’ll be happy living in an Amish barn somewhere
I do believe the rain return overnight & goes on all day tomorrow. The mud is getting impressive haha!

PQ, can’t believe you’re in a heatwave haha! Enjoy it while it lasts, you never know what’s around the corner weather wise
Thinking back, I used. To get really pissed off with my last boss. She would have me working on solutions to certain staffing problems, etc at home, not being paid of course. Then when I took my suggestions & ideas to her she would just blow them off & do something different or nothing at all - GRRR. Make sure your boss is fully aware of what he asking you to do before you put the time in 7 don’t do any work at home!!!!

Mick, you are probably getting to the ned of your infectious period but it takes time to clear out all the congestion & junk. Pace yourself, I know you won’t sit & wait until yu are completely well
I know for a fact I have a very short attention span since my head injury BUT I am able to complete things that interest me. I have figured out ways to get the work done over almost 23 years since. We also need to remember we’re not machines & we need a little rest now & then. I hope your FIL is stable now but not moved anywhere until better arrangements can be made for him. He’s just not going to be safe anywhere alone at this point. We’re all getting to that point ourselves, little by little.

Slo, hope you had a nice day with your daughter.

Cyn, I hope you’re not overdoing it yourself.

Pie, how’s the weather down your way?

            Have a nice night all!
