    Re: 21st May

    Hello friends,

Still having nice weather here. I have a feeling we are going to pay for this later haha!
Talked our son & grandsons into coming over for a burger tomorrow since it is a holiday weekend. DIL is too busy with online classes, whatever. I?ve already made a big pot of baked beans (just have to bake them tomorrow morning). Picked up the burgers, hot dogs & chicken to put on the grill tomorrow. I think I?ll make a nice Italian potato salad with green beans (no mayo), yum. Cupcakes with red, white & blue icing & ice cream for dessert. Who?s coming over??? Lol

Mick, if I was an honest person I would tell you I remember nothing from high school - well very little anyway. Good luck figuring out all the electrical stuff. Hope you?re enjoying the weekend anyway

Hello to PQ, Cyn, Slo & Pie, hope you?re all doing well.
    Have a nice night all.

    Lav

      Mae all -

Quick post from me as I am about asleep at the computer. Tomorrow at midnight all the courses will be done, and though I still have some more work to turn in tomorrow, I will be one happy camper when I am free. Then I'll start going back through the material to see what I missed learning while I was doing the stuff for the tests and writing assignments!

Speaking of happy camper, Mick your getaway sounds busy but good. So glad you both are getting time away.

Lav, yay for the carpets being done. I'll be right over for that meal, sounds delish.

Pi - wonderful to hear your words! Yes, really nothing like "out of the darkness into the light..." congrats on staying strong -

SLO - I hope that you are able to get your mom totally out of the house without stressing about anything at the last minute - she is really lucky to have you helping her. Good luck, and take care of those knees!

PPQ - did I miss your post? Well, anyway, wishing you some relaxing time this weekend - hope the internet is working for you now.

Okay, that's me folks... I can barely keep my eyes open... see you again soon -

          Re: 21st May

          Good afternoon, fine folks!

Yes, I am enjoying laying low this weekend and doing lots of laundry, shopping, oil change & gas for car, getting the lawn sprinkled during this drought, etc.

That sounds like a great Memorial Day picnic, Lav! I wish your daughter & family could come too, but they’re probably busy. My daughter D2 who lives in town wouldn’t be able to come for a picnic here because of her husband’s very recent knee surgery. And they normally don’t stay around on 3-day weekends.
I guess YB can fit a big TV in the basement because now that he got rid of the big entertainment center. As soon as I left our home after the divorce, ex-HB chucked the entertainment center we had and got a giant TV.
My mother will stay occupied at her new place because she is living near 4 growing grandchildren, so she will be attending their soccer games, dance recitals etc.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.
