MAE everyone!
Mick - that's a wonderful poem, thank you for sharing it! It definitely resonates with me, and sadly it is probably something most families experience with at least one loved one over time. If Julie feels like she lost her dad 7 years ago, that means you all have been dealing with this for quite some time. I'm so terribly sorry. We definitely hold our breath every time we visit - will it be a good day or a bad day? Pretty stressful tbh - it sounds like you can relate. No vacation booked yet - we've got the time blocked out on my work schedule but now waiting to see if the wildfires in the area calm down. We may have to head to the coast instead of the mountains.
NS - I look forward to hearing more about your editing job. Please do share whatever you're able/willing to. I can totally relate to what you said about grieving the loss of your mom even while she was still alive. I think I heard or read that dementia is "the long goodbye" as it's not a sudden loss but a protracted one. You have my sympathy and empathy.
Steady - so great to see you, and thank you for the shout out. Really glad to hear you're still sober (of course you are - you don't drink!). I would say post when you can, no need to make it long or address everyone. Personally, I think the best part of having people post is the energy it contributes, not the specifics of the comments/post.
Lav - that's scary about the Amish guy and his horse. I can see how dangerous that would be. I hope your computer gets itself together this weekend, and that the new software is a breeze to master. Sounds like you're on top of it.
Pretty tuckered so gonna sign off for tonight. Happy Fridays to everyone and I'll catch you tomorrow.
