hiya all ...how are we doing today then? hope all is well..its been raining here again..supposed to be sunny and a heatwave ...just looked at the forecast ...uk has storm warnings .. lets go back to stone dry/stone wet prophecies .I hada Go Pro camera ...to be honest couldnt really get the hang of it at all ..so sold it on and bought a DJI Pocket 2 ..a brilliant piece of kit ..however whenever I took videos it was reallly jumpy ..blah blah .after lots of dodgy words ,I decided last night it was going back.I was recording and downloading it to laptop.then suddenly ...the eureka moment ..nothing wrong with it ...apart from its too modern for my computer ..there wasnt enough coal to power the laptop..my phone and the amazon fire handle it perfickly .

Good morning, my friends:

We had a bit of rain overnight Friday to Saturday, and tomorrow it’s supposed to rain! Today is cooler, so I can finally turn the air conditioner off for today.
I only slept 5 hours last night. Ugh. Just couldn’t fall asleep nor stay asleep.

My knee hurts regularly, Mick. I hate living with chronic pain. But I guess a lot of us do it. I’m getting by with a tight, supportive brace, and pain gels 3x/day: Voltaren gel, CBD cream, and Bio Freeze.
I don’t have friends, but at least I have friendly neighbors.
I guess I should text my angry, hateful sister to see if she needs anything.

Well, if a bunch of Russian sage is agitated a lot in order to uproot and replant it, then it has a scent!

I’m surprised there’s a book out about a death doula, Pie; as it’s a fairly new occupation.

TG, how thoughtless of the family to not let you know that they are coming to visit your elder. You should be kept in the loop!
I need to keep a calendar and re-check the time of an appointment, or I turn up at the wrong time to places too.
That said, it doesn’t hurt to get a good checkup post-Covid for long term struggles.

I can see where it might be inconvenient to have a Sitz bath 3x//day. Still; needs must. Desitin should help! (Lav)

Happy Sunday everyone,

Hot & humid today of course. The county sent me a warning for heavy rain Monday night into Tuesday. We?ll see what actually happens.
YB seems to be moving about a bit better today. The real test will be when he gets on the mower & bounces around cutting grass. I just can?t do it with my allergies & it?s looking pretty bad right now. For those of you who don?t look at FB here?s a pic of Grandma Luna. Grandson Bob today. They are taking up about 2/3 of my laundry room but they?re happy & comfy. Dave the biter is still outside haha.

Slo, sorry your knee is still so troublesome. You do have an appointment with a pain specialist coming up, right? I hope you can get some relief. Do any of your daughters give an opinion on the ex?s girlfriend? Just wondering.

Cyn, that?s a great idea if you can get in on a new study group. Why don?t you ask your doc for a script for some Occupational therapy? After your testing it could be very useful in helping you to rewire some damaged neural pathways. Take good care of yourself :hug:

I?m not surprised that my elder?s kids didn?t fill me in, but I find it disturbing that they didn?t say anything to their older sibling - the responsible one, the one who is very kind and responsive (and pays me!). I mean, to plan a trip and not even tell your sibling?
I don?t know what?s going on, but it doesn?t feel right. If they decide that I shouldn?t be stopping by, fine. I don?t need the pressure and the worry, but I think my elder would be disappointed. I am more concerned that they are leaving out a sibling? (but they are twins, so maybe they go by special rules?)
Anyway, I must say it is a pleasure to have a few days off? probably I take it all too seriously; but an elder?s health is in the balance? and she was just getting to a place where she didn?t need her nightly vodka? I?m afraid that will all be undone now. Oh well, not really my problem?

Sounds like a lot has been happening that I ?lost? : YB? Cats? Gardening?
Ah well, I?ll do my best to catch up?

Awaiting severe storms - again! I am so ready for this summer to be over primarily because I’m now sporting some allergic reaction on my face from gardening, ugh. Coating myself with Cortisone, looks so lovely LOL
I don’t think there’s much of a chance of sleeping tonight because the weather folks are talking about a possible 2 am tornado. Guess I’ll find something else to do haha!

Cyn, whatever the reason I hope you are enjoying a few days ‘off duty’. It gets tiresome real fast when you’re always worrying about the welfare of another individual. This is your chance for some needed R&R
YB is feeling much better today, one week postop. He did manage to get the grass cut too.

Mick, I guess the van will wait another week or so, right? Yes, Luna & Bob are getting along better these days. It definitely wasn’t love at first sight for those two haha! Iguess yuo can send your rain over any time now.

MAE ALL…quiet day as the boss ended up not coming in. Guess he had a busy weekend at the community centre. Better him than me. Another car has arrived in the visitor parking, apparently their Dad bought it. When I asked if he bought it for you he said no, he felt sorry for some guy that lives in Bassano and said he’d buy it. Apparently this one doesn’t have any brakes. When the condo board sends the notice around about all cars being registered or they’ll be towed I won’t have to worry about it anymore. LOL

Pi…what did you decide about the meetup on Saturday?

Mick…the celebration of life was definitely mobbed. I couldn’t believe the amount of food they brought in. Boss had to do a liquor run at one point during the evening. LOL My phone is so out of date that it won’t run the new apps. Can’t get my car insurance one to load. Me thinks it’s time for an upgrade.
Lav…we’re in the 90’s today, not quite as bad as your Saturday. Director back tomorrow and quite frankly I’m getting sick and tired of the assistant director. Enough already. Luna and Bob look quite comfortable. Wow, I hope the weather folk are wrong.

TG…I just laughed when you said you convinced yourself to show up for yoga an hour early. I’m hearing lots about long term covid these days, hope the treatment center can help. . How did it go with your elders visitors? Did you get a chance to talk to any of them? Maybe not the time eh?

Yesterday was Huxley day. He sure is cute. He’s walking half the time now, and crawling the rest of the time -walking, but wobbly. His first “back” tooth has cut through.

What do the girls think of ex-HB’s gf? They will say precious little. I have heard “nice” and “fine”. Uncle Don says she’s “quiet”, and former sister-in-law says she’s “level-headed”. Young Daughter said that she reacts negatively to the super-violent movies that he watches, the same as I did.

Mick, you had probably already figured out that the van wouldn’t be coated that day! But, a conscientious man there to make sure to contact you about it however he could.

Lav, I already had an appointment with a pain specialist. She referred me to an orthopedic surgeon (but strangely, to one who doesn’t do knee replacements!), and that one has referred me to another orthopedic surgeon. But I can’t get in to see him for another month.

PQ, maybe your sons can combine all 2-3 cars into one that works!

The sun is shining even though we still have storm warnings up haha! Last night?s ?big storms? fizzled out, a big nothing. I just wish the humidity would go somewhere far far away, it?s so yucky out there.

MAE ALL...no fireworks at work. The director came back from vaca with a different attitude. She says she spends 1/3 of her time here and can just go along with whatever the boss wants. If it all blows up it's not her problem. It made for a surprisingly drama free day!

Mick...you definitely got the right man doing the coating on the van for him to drive all the way up. Bet he does a fantastic job. I would never buy an Iphone either. I'm a Samsung gal version 16 so it's definitely time to upgrade. LOL Only 2 cars in visitor parking, the search continues.

Slo...Huxley is growing up so quickly. Nope, don't think combining them would work. If I still lived on the ranch they could just sit there till the boys want to fiddle with them. I'm just going to leave the issue alone for now. LOL

Lav...are you sending your weather to me? We're now at 95F and they put an outdoor watering restriction in place. First one in 18 years. Wonder what that means for the community garden. Guess I'll have to find out.

Well the storm never got here last night . Apparently it went about 40 miles north where my daughter lives. You just never know, do you?
It’s still hot & humid here & I’m staying inside as much as possible. I don’t want to pick up any more allergic stuff out there, I already look ridiculous haha!
