    Re: 17th september

    Greetings friends,

Nothing new with me but I have kept busy all day long. Our weather is still in nice mode but that will all change Saturday & Sunday. It’s not like I have any weekend plans or anything LOL my chickens have given me 1 egg today & yesterday - I say they’re not going going to be here too much longer.

Mick, glad your teeth cleaning was OK. I guess all of our hobbies cost a lot more these days. Not sure what else we can do though at this point.
Since I pay all my bills online I don’t keep too much extra in the checking account. Seems safer if it’s in the savings account but you never know.
I hope that gladioli bird din’t give you any grief today haha!

PQ, I guess they still need to work on our posts. Maybe they’ll figure it out one of these days.
It’s good that we can go to one of the larger chain pharmacies to get vaccines. here CVS, Walgreens & Rite Aid all offer them. Easier to get an appointment there than in a doctors office. Walgreens is willing to give up to 4 at a time but that sounds like a potential disaster in my book. You do need to be careful with your vaccines & biologic. Sorry people are wasting your precious time at work, grrr!

Hello to Cyn, Slo, Pie & everyone stopping by tonight.
Have a good night all & I hope we can all actually SLEEP!

      Re: 17th september

TG posted this last night on last weeks thread. I have copied it here, hope you don't mind TG.

Quick post tonight? thanks for everyone?s news - Mick, glad to hear you are back safe and sound? hello to all else, sending everyone good tidings.
I had #2 stress test today (nuclear - with dyes, etc). There is definitely damage to my heart, so Friday they?ll do a ?cardiac cath?; minimally invasive technique to go in and take some pics and see what?s up. I?m sorry it has come to this, but I guess it?s better than having me keel over at work.
Telling my TJ managers was a little stressful - they weren?t too happy, as I was just trained in, and this is beginning the busiest time, but I assured them this was the best way to get to a ?fix? asap. It will be some days before I can lift boxes, though. And they won?t let me work my shifts these next few days. Oh well.

I?m going to try to not think about that whole situation? I just hate causing difficulties for others? normally my specialty is being ?the fixer?? oh well. Life goes on.

Long day, tired? sorry not to address each one of you - take care!!
      TG

      This was my reply TG...

TG...I don't know why your post appeared here, after Wags post on the 16th, but I'm glad I saw it.

So sorry to hear about the outcome of your stress test. A cardiac cath on Friday sounds scary to me, I'm glad you said it was minimally invasive. I'm sure telling the TJ managers was stressful and I hope they consider your health over their workplace. I hear you about causing difficulties for others as you are the fixer but now it's time to be selfish and just look after you. Do not think about that whole situation, just concentrate on you for now. Sending positive thoughts and lots of love ...PPQP

        Re: 17th september

MAE ALL...all went well at the rheumatologist as far as my arthritis is concerned. She's not happy with a urine sample, increased white cells indicating blood, so had me do it again and they are still present. She will send a report to my new/old doctor and if I can't be seen within the month I'm to call her so she can set up a CT scan. Other than that I got into my appointment early so went to work earlier than expected and left at 3pm. LOL

Mick...$367 that's big bucks, no wonder it remains in the shop. Got to my Dr.'s appt today and forgot I had to pay for parking. It doesn't accept a debit card so phoned my son to transfer some money to my pay-as-you-go master card so I could pay for parking. I had only left him 20 minutes before that and do you think I could get an answer? So paid for 30 minutes, all that was left on my card, and hoped I wouldn't be delayed. I was 1/2 hr early for my appt., walked in, saw the doc, walked out in less than 30 minutes. LOL

Lav...are the chicken's on strike? Have they given you their demands yet? I was really confused when I read TG's post until I realized it was on the wrong thread. I had thought we'd lost a whole page of post but nope, here they are. LOL Our high today was 9C/48F with a cold north wind. It was overcast all day but just a few sprinkles. I consider this Winter's warning that it's on it's way. We can get our vaccines at the pharmacies here as well. Our pharmacist can actually prescribe drugs and fill certain prescriptions. That's come in handy for me a couple of times. I had a bunch of my articles cut from the newsletter, publisher considered them "ads". The boss was not impressed. LOL I knew I was pushing it with one of them but the others they published all last year. Boss sent an email to publisher so we'll see what happens.

Waves to everyone else, hope you're all doing ok. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

            Hello all?
PPQ, you were so sweet to transfer my post!!! Thank you!!! Obviously I have no idea what day it is! Balancing your meds and biologic sounds quite complicated - glad you can handle it all. Glad the timing worked out with the parking!

Lav, I?m now in the right place I think? no need to write again to me, but thank you! Your sweet old chickens? one decided to give you a gift! Do you have any idea what to do about Luna? Is she impossible to trap? I guess so, if you haven?t been able to yet? good luck!

Busy day today doing the Homeless meals? then took all the plastics and cardboard to the recycling place. Next up was getting all passwords set up for the new medical places that will be dealing with me? I will be sharing all that with my brother, who is Power of Attorney for me. When I moved back to be closer to family, I never imagined that I would need help like this from them? my brother will take me to the procedure, as I must not drive afterwards. I?m grateful.

Mick, I haven?t looked at the pic yet, but will soon when I officially log on? curious as to what all this is about,,, of course you are tired from your trip! Try to take a break, eh?

Well, trying to look at all my legal and financial docs and make sure all is correct? this is a good time to revisit and double check.

Hello to SLO and Pie and anyone dropping by? wishing all well -

              Re: 17th september

              Hi, all-

I enjoyed my day with daughter and the grandkids -except I got tired and fell asleep on the couch for an afternoon Nana nap…not good as Mommy fell asleep with Cooper; and Beckett & Mabel gave up napping! The TV babysat Beckett, and luckily Mabel stayed around too with toys.
I loved being outside and at a park on a nature trail with them on this beautiful, warm Fall day. Poor Coop has the croup now. Mommy took him to the doctor for some steroid medicine today.

TG, total bummer about your heart -and the timing with the new, very physical job. I know what you mean about living alone and having to rely on others for medical appointments…I’m thinking of getting that nerve block procedure done to my knee, but hesitate because I need someone to drive me there & back. Makes me feel quite vulnerable.

I hope you get a decent night’s sleep tonight, Mick. I woke up too early this morning.
Yeah, that’s too much to spend on a toy train car.

Wags, that new student is the perfect incentive to build your new curriculum! And have someone to test it out on. Love it.

Lav, oh no, the last round of chickens are turning into old birds!
My cat Boyd is from a farm, where kittens just kept getting born. (He’s only half farm cat though, and half house cat.)

Glad your appointment was under the 30 minutes, PQ.

              Happy Fall, y’ all!

                MAE everyone,

Just popping in to say hello and let you all know I'm thinking about you. Had two very busy teaching days and I'm wiped out mentally so gonna keep this short tonight. At least we're all over the hump and on toward Thu/Fri.

TG I hope your procedure goes smoothly on Fri. Will be sending you positive energy and support.

Hellos and waves to all (and umbrellas or maybe a rowboat to Mick!)

Tomorrow will be easier and I'll catch up more fully.

                Take care everyone.

hiya all...how are we doing this morning? hope all is good ..slept like the proverbial log last night ...despite the fact I aint got a clue how a log proverbial or otherwise sleep. Heating is on this morning ...autumn is def on the way ..interesting quote I heard somewhere ..autumn the season where every leaf is a flower....and when you think of it its true ...they all colour up ..last fling before winter .

going to collect a cabinet this morning ....to take it apart ,beat lumps out of it ,rub soil in it and sand it .crazy I know it sounds ,but it will match in with the fire surround ...and the pelmet which I have done.

hiya Teegee,I can only say ,stay positive with all the medical stuff going on...Sorry doesnt come into it .....you are a good person strong willed ...keep that strong will on track .Definitely a good move re power of attorney ...Julie is for her dad in medical and financial.so there you go ....positive .....the keyword and the very best for tomorrow.

hiya ppqp ,how are you doing ..hope all is well ...yes I like my trains ,but not to that extent ..its a rip off.sounds like work at your gaff is still carrying on with the madness in the background!!!!!how did things go with the roomytologist ...? hope all is good .take care and have a good day ..soon be the weekend !

hiya Lav how are things today?gladioli bird is getting smaller by the day..what I did see and yep a real one last night ...a tawny owl flew across the back garden. How is yb doing?hope he is ok as ok can be .I egg between them ...that aint too economically viable ...they obviously dont understand the strategy ..I give you food you give me eggs ...plural...hygienist did a job on my teeth ...they dazzle everyone now .....
                  have a good day

hiya Slo how are things with you today ? hope things are doing good for you .how is the knee holding out ?i take it you managed the walk ok? Its a wonder in this woke age its still a nana nap..should it not be called some stupid non gender indicatory name like ....a nana nap perhaps ? you take care ...

hiya wags hope all is well

i will finish this later ..got to pick the cabinet up .

MAE ALL…I got to drive my own car to work today!! Son has decided he will drive the new/old car. Works for me.

TG…you are most welcome. Yes, I’m glad I was able to get in and out in time. You did have a busy day yesterday. I’m glad you have your brother to help you out.

Slo…sounds like you had a nice day yesterday. Fall walks are the best.

                      Wags…yup, it’s Friday Eve. YAY

Mick…glad you got a good sleep last night. The season where every leaf is a flower, I like that. Things all good at the rheumatologist now onward to the family doctor. At least I can now make appointments whenever I want. You do fast work. Not only did you pick up the cabinet this morning, it’s all finished. It looks great, thanks for the pics.

Sneaking on early at work as things are pretty quiet today. Makes it feel like the calm before the storm. I’ll check back later to see how Lav’s day went and anyone else stopping in. Have a good night all….:smile:PQ

                        Re: 17th september

                        Greetings friends,

Still having nice weather here, apparently we will see the coastal storm moving in the area tomorrow night. It will be a soggy weekend for sure.
I offered to make YB a single cup of coffee today but forgot to put the cup in place so??I had a mess to clean up, haha. I think I?m overly distracted this week, what can I say?

PQ, my day was fine, just toeing the senile line I think haha!!!
Glad you?re getting your own wheels back.

Mick, your. Cabinet looks great, good job!
We do have owls around here too, don?t see them often but we do hear them. YB has an owl box fixed up for them but they haven?t used it yet.
The chickens gave me two eggs today, big deal Lol

Wags, I hope you have a relaxing weekend planned for yourself. You have been busy!!

Slo, when the chickens get this old & worn out my brother used to call them ?yard ornaments? haha! They?re just too old to work anymore.
I hope Cooper feels better on the steroids. Somedays I wold love to take a nap but I won?t because I know I would be up all night. Enjoy it while you can.

Cyn, you have the whole group here pulling for you, I think you know that. Glad your brother is available to help with transportation back & forth. The procedure itself is not bad at all, my mom & brother had no problems with theirs. Reach out if we can help in any way

                        Pie, hope you are well.

Hello to anyone else stopping in & wishing us all a nice night!

TGIF! I haven’t any big plans for the weekend, but there is a two-hour meet n’ greet in the neighborhood tomorrow.

I slept close to 8 hours in a row last night! Hallelujah! That rarely to never happens. I had visited with a friend on the phone for an hour and a half that evening before turning in; I think maybe that helped me to sleep better.

I wonder if TG will get her results from the test today pretty much right away, or will she have to wait?

Well, I hope you get to drive your own car, PQ! And you are! Sliding into the weekend today…

Mick, the little nature walk I took was just a small one designed for children. I handled it okay with a tight brace and Voltaren gel beforehand, and rubbed in BioFreeze immediately afterwards. And promptly took a nana nap. I got that phrase from the UK folks here; Jackie Claire always said that. I miss The Army!
Nice job on the cabinet. Beautiful woodwork.
The pregnancy joke is funny…and the trumpets, and Frank, and Catwoman!

Well, luckily you were only cleaning up one cup of coffee instead of a whole pot, Lav!

                              ‘Til tomorrow then.

Sent all my articles to the publisher on Tuesday, Wednesday got a new proof with most of my articles pulled. Publisher considered them ads. Boss sent a "snarky" email to publisher basically saying you don't want to publish our articles we'll find a different way of informing the community, ie. e-magazine. Thursday got another proof, all articles back in the newsletter. LOL

Lav...I did the same thing at work. Put the pod in the coffee maker, filled the reservoir with water, through the used pod in the garbage went back to my office. Came back and there was coffee everywhere and there sat my cup beside the Keurig. Luckily we have huge counters with nothing on them so an easy clean. We're having another blast of summer this weekend, temps 68F/20C, just how I like it.

Mick...has it ever been a tad damp there? No storm at work. Gotta say I'm impressed with the childcare directors attitude going along with whatever the boss wants. Childcare staff got their way with letting parents come into the rooms to pick up their kids and now they're bitching the parents want to talk to them and they can't look after the kids. Another case of "be careful what you wish for". And of course the parents are bitching that now they have to bring their kid all the way to the room. Not just drop them at the door and leave. LOL

Slo...well I'm certainly jealous with your straight 8 hour sleep. The phone visit with the friend probably did make the difference. Yes, it's so nice driving my own car again. I can even make appointments at any time without checking with anyone first. LOL

TG...hoping everything went ok for you today.

I did volunteer to open up the community centre for a renter at 7am tomorrow. She has it booked for the weekend but has to take everything down Sat night and then put everything back up on Sun after the church leaves. Boss had already scheduled the weekend staff so I only have to stay until 9am and he said not a minute later, don't let the renter suck you into staying. Not a problem.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP
