    Greetings Mick & everyone!

We had nice sun again today & a touch of melting too. There?s still plenty of snow left for the kids to play in. I imagine the school buses will be back on the roads in the morning, haha.
Mick, I hope you?re hunkered down & resist any urge to go check on the roof or anything like that. A tornado warning is serious, no time to mess around. My weather app is showing 62 degrees for Friday ~ we?ll see.
I hope there?s no one on the planet dumb enough to try to milk a bull :hahaha:

Hello to PQ, I hope you love your grounding mat!! Good decision

Hello Cyn, hope you are well.

Slo, Pie & everyone Hello to you!

    Have a nice night all!

Goodness Mick, a tornado?! I hope all settles down. Lav, your weather sounds like summer. We too will be getting out of single digits soon, so I am hopeful.
Tomorrow have the last of 5 days straight of work (a first!) mostly the 6 AM to 2 pm shift. So, I am off to get everything ready for my early departure.
Sending good wishes to all, and hopes for good weather to return for you, Mick.
      Shout out to all!

Five days in a row, TG! That’s a straight full-time work week!At least most of it is your favorite shift.
I hope your apartment complex got their sidewalks shoveled.

Those are some shockingly high winds, Mick!!
Speaking of “I want to have another baby”, I found out today that D3 is expecting another baby!! Baby Andy will have a sibling.

Lav, I just pulled my loaf of banana bread, using your recipe, and with oat flour, out of the oven!

PQ, how nice to get a high energy day. Maybe your new breathing aid helped to make that happen!
Well, I didn’t say much to ex-HB, but a few sentences anyways.

Young Aunt & Uncle invited my twin sister & I to meet them halfway (so an hour & a half drive) for dinner to celebrate our birthdays last night. I kind of biffed it; didn’t quite realize that we were celebrating Aunt’s upcoming (this week) birthday too…didn’t get her a gift (yet!), but she got me one…didn’t snap a picture of her with the big lit-up dessert that she ordered with her birthday coupon from the restaurant, cuz I hadn’t dug my phone out of my purse…Gah! I’m such a social clod sometimes. Hate it.

I’m getting along with my sister again, but she has been sober for a month, so that’s a big reason why. She stayed over last night, and we spent the day together today relaxing. For some reason Sundays are tired days for me, and I can’t seem to do much. It was comforting. Except I wish she would put her dishes in the dishwasher instead of “soaking” them in the sink. Back to dishes!

Wishing us all high energy days for the coming week!

mae all...how are we today then? good I hope .the rain has gone but the winds are pretty brutal.Quite a few homes around here have lost power ..thankfully not in that number.100 mph gusts here...its funny watching the birds trying to fly into the wind and going in reverse.

hiya slo...congrats to your sister ..lets hope she stays the course.Booze certainly changes people ..All the best to your daughter too.Yep the winds are pretty rough..take care

hiya LAV .....we have sun too ..it hasnt blown away yet .no ..not checking the roof ..do it when the weather calms down ..I was listening to the news this morning ..in the storms some nugget jumped into the sea ..from Blackpool pier...absolute nutso...Oh Im sure someone somewhere there will be someone milking a bull...hope you have a good day .

            Good evening friends,

Just an average day here but that’s what I like pretty much. Had to go to the grocery store & stop at the Vet to pick up the dog’s thyroid med. made an appt to take the bully cat in next Monday for some shots & nail trim. I have his sedation here & will dose him up 2 hrs before trying to stuff him into the carrier. Last time it was such a battle & I ended up with bruised hands, ugh. The other two cats are not a problem, just Dave.

Cyn, I sure hope you have a few days off now to rest up after that workathon. And I hope your city gets it’s sh*t together & clears the sidewalks, geez. Everywhere I’ve lived homeowners & especially businesses have 24 hrs to clear the pathways or be subject to a fine. Take good care

Mick, I was hoping you didn’t get blown away in that storm. That’s some heavy duty wind, wow!
Many many years a go a guy we went to high school with died in a giant rainstorm. He was schizophrenic & had a God complex. He thought he could walk on water or something & jumped into a rushing creek & was swept clear across town & his body was washed up in a storm drain. We always knew he would go out with a bang

Slo, so how did you like the banana bread? It’s one of my favorites lately
Glad to hear your sister is doing better, hope she keeps it going. I hate showing up without gifts but these things happen. I’m sure your aunt didn’t mind at all. Congrats on a new grandbaby in the works. You’re going to have quite a few when it’s all said & done. Good for you

Hello to PQ, Pie, Wags if you’re looking in & everyone else dropping by.
            Have a good night all!

MAE ALL...I couldn't get on the site yesterday either. I seldom log into my facebook account as the community centre's page is tied to my personal page and it just p*sses me off when work comes up. I will start checking it more now. I used to get notifications on my phone but the new one wants messenger to be my default but I will investigate it more. Got an email from my landlord, he wants to sell the condo. UGH!! I won't be able to qualify for a mortgage and rents have just skyrocketed. I proposed a rent to own option with no luck but he said he might consider the option where the seller carries the buyer's mortgage. Not sure what that means, will have to figure something out.

Mick...I'm glad you survived the tornado warning and didn't venture onto the roof. People do the strangest things. The issue around our city is water main breaks, thankfully we've not been affected. Our low tonight is going to be higher than our high and we're heading into above freezing temps for the rest of the week. I am sooo done with this cold weather!

TG...I hope you're done with your 5 day workweek and are able to take a break for awhile.

Slo...I think the new breathing aide is really making a difference. Nice that you are getting along with your sister, good for her. Sundays are a tired day for me too. There is no excuse for people not putting their dishes in the dishwasher!

Lav...oh no, another Dave trip to the vet. I hope the sedation works. Average days are ok with me too. Seemed I was putting out one fire after another at work today. Made the day go by fast but I didn't get to the programing I wanted to do. I'm looking forward to the warmer temps tomorrow. The glass company phoned on Friday wanting to change the time of the new window install by a couple of hours. I told them I'd made arrangements for my son to stay home from work so they said ok. When I got home, I checked. No new window. Son said when they showed up they had apparently forgotten the ladder. Really!! Oh well, it seems the only thing I can think about right now is having to move, after 17 years.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP

Just moving TG's post to this thread....

Mae all - I thought I posted here yesterday? but I am not see it now. I am on my phone again tonight, just giving a quick shout out to all. Higher temps here, so there is melting going on, but I still had to slog through drifts of snow? I do wish the city would just plow the darn sidewalk!
Mick, what a touching story about the poppies, thanks for that. I have a mental image of the place.
Lav, sorry about your power outage! Are you getting snow now?
PPQ, I hope that your warmup gets warmer than they are expecting!
                Slo, happy traveling.
Sorry if I missed anyone; I am sitting with a heating pad, on the couch with a blanket. I just finished 5 days in a row of work, now will do other projects for a few days. I?m OK with the break.
Warmer here - I hope everyone is safe and warm where they are.
                Cheers,
                TG

Glad you're going to be able to take a few days for yourself...:smile:PPQP

                  Hi there!

Oh no, PQ!! Rent prices are terrible now! What a blow. I sure wish you could rent to own.

What terrible twin stories about the people jumping in rushing water, Lav & Mick. These things happen though. It seems to happen often at my daughter’s college town; drunk college students stumbling home from the bars will fall into the Mississippi River and drown.

The banana bread is really good, Lav! Do you use coconut oil? I didn’t feel like melting it, so just used avocado oil.
Dave must be one strong male cat. My brother’s cat is like that. I couldn’t imagine wrestling big, muscular Silas into a carrier.

My trip to the cobbler was a bust. I found expensive shoes that are deep enough to accommodate the orthotic, but the sole is too thin, he says, for splitting and adding the lift into. Will need to find other shoes and try again on Saturday, when he’s open for two hours. He’s selling and retiring…I may need to send my shoes to Mick to take to his village cobbler!

Good news for my evaluation at the regenerative pain clinic today: I have regained some sensation in my feet & hands; now only missing 20% of sensation to my extremities, which is a good improvement. I plunked down another whole lotta out-of-pocket $ to continue treatments for another few months with the high-powered lasers to my low back and neck, etc.

TG posted on an older thread tonight, quickly from her phone. TG, you did a long stretch of shifts! Happy you have a few days off in a row now to focus on other things.

                  Hi, Pie!

PQ, you can use Messenger independently; that is, no need to go through Facebook. Easiest might be to simply download the Messenger app to your phone.

                          Good evening kids!

All’s well here, lots of melting going on today, yay. I was finally able to shovel a path in the chicken yard so they could get outside. They’ve been cooped up a solid week but no one died, haha.

                          Det, good to see you
Have you found a new place yet? It’s not an easy process these days, regarless of where you live. Wishing you the best of luck & keep those beautiful photos coming on FB.

Mick, rain again, swell. We are expecting rain the next two days which should make a fine muddy mess around here.
I’ll come back a bit later with some sourdough recipes for you. It’s fun but you have to be patient with the process

Pie, Hi to you & I also have the Messenger app on my phone, iPad & laptop. It’s my primary source of communication with a lot of people.

Slo, so glad to hear your treatments are making a difference, that’s great news!
I do use coconut oil, just scoop some out & melt it in the microwave for my recipes, easy enough. We had a good old fashioned shoe shop in our old hometown when we were kids. That guy could fix any shoe, where have they all gone?

Cyn, hello to you & glad PQ moved your last message to this week’s thread. Hope you’re catching up on some rest now.

PQ, so sorry about the rental situation. Can you talk to a real estate broker & ask for some rental listings in your area in case you have to move? You shouldn’t have to deal with all that on your own. Can’t believe the window installers showed up without a ladder, DUH. Sounds like they didn’t really feel like working Lol. My plan is to sedate Dave the bully but get YB to stuff him in the crate. He likes YB more than he likes me so it may be easier. I keep telling Dave that I am the one who rescued his furry A$$ but he doesn’t seem to care, haha!!!

Hello to anyone else dropping by & wishing a nice night for all!
                          Lav

PS: I’ve been riding my bike to nowhere (stationary bike) for 30 min per day & have lost 4 lbs so I’m going to stick with it until I almost disappear, Lol
