mae all ...from a snowy Lancashire ...yep thats right ..snow .from glorious sunshine yesterday to snow ..its not lying at the moment thank goodness ..got notification of a dental appt today ...errm nope that was cancelled 3 months ago ..had a good day yesterday ...saw 4 roe deer ,a couple of bullfinches etc ..the main thing was getting used to the weight of the camera and lens ...all in all yesterday walked 7 miles over a mixture of hill flat track road paths and rocks and no issues at all..my big thing is getting to know the camera and its functions now here are a few pics from yesterday

Ive still got some working out to do converting files etc .

As I sit here we are (I say we but in reality its Julie messing around with surfshark installing it .etc ...for me it wouldhave been through the window by now..it completely changes your log on location ...atm we are logged into Detroit ...its mind blowing ..the same as logistics ..Julie had to send a parcel back ..a faulty electrical component ..tracking it ...posted yesterday 10.47 Oldham ..15.20 East Midlands airport hub ..2015 ..Leipzig ..0520 today Gdansk ..its unreal ..

hiya Lav ...how are you doing ? do you want some snow?Glad yb is ok and it went well ..how is he today?as you say ...everyday is a skool day .I use gps on phone for routes ,,though we have got a satnav specific for the van which takes into consideration height weight etc ..we fell foul of not having that a couple of times.

hiya Slo how are you doing? hope the journey to San Wan goes ok ..yes Julie is still working on her dolls hoose ..a bit at a time ..hope everything goes well for you .

hiya ppqp ...hows you then? yes had a great day yesterday .didnt learn too much about settings because they are obviously individual preferences .but learned a bit about the machine itself .Think ill make a big pot of soup today ..I have got to go out and buy a big soup pan.

Good evening friends,

The postop check went well today although the pressure reading inside that eye is too high. Likely due to swelling they said & ordered an additional eye drop to be used along with the other three drops. He’s got 20/20 vision in that eye so he’s very happy. Nothing else going on here for the most part. I did get news that my older brother fell & fractured a hip requiring surgery yesterday. I would go visit & wish him well but he claims I am the Ultimate Bitch so I won’t bother, his choice.

PQ, we hit 50 sunny degrees today, felt spring-like. I know we’ll end up with snow in a week or two, it’s always that way haha! Glad you had a quiet day at work yesterday, hope today was as well.

Slo, I hope your trip to PR was easy today. Sorry to hear about the duodenal ulcer, ugh. YB had one back in the day, took a ton of Zantac. Enjoy your trip & take a pic or two for us

Mick, your pics are awesome. Getting used to your new camera will surely take some time. Have fun with it & learning all the ins & outs too.
I wish I could walk 7 miles. I’d be half dead I’m sure Lol

mae all hope we are well.snow has gone and been replaced by rain ...again .weekend is here ..poets day today...going down to see my brother tomorrow .both rabbits doing ok today .Still taking the grout out between the tiles in the bathroom ..long mind numbing job...

Lav ..50 degrees ?? we are still in the low teens here ...and any kind of weather you want ....except sun...glad the postop went ok...hope the swelling goes down..yep best not visit brother ...blood pressure will go the roof..

Slo…I had cataract surgery a few years ago and was told then that I would probably have to have the other eye done in the future. When I went to the optometrist for my new glasses, she said that eye wasn’t bad, but I wanted my ophthalmologist to look at as well. My Dad had an eye condition that is hereditary, and I hadn’t been checked for that in a while. Hope you had an uneventful flight to Puerto Rico and that you’re having a blast.

Mick…your turn for the snow, eh? I’m flabbergasted, you didn’t take that dental appointment. LOL That was a lot of trekking with that camera, you got some great shots. At least you learned a bit more about the camera itself. I hear you about tracking parcels, Lav and I couldn’t believe the route on package she sent me took. Still haven’t got that Jam pot yet huh? That tile job is going to take forever. Safe travels to your brothers and I hope he’s doing ok.

Lav…sorry to hear about the YB’s eye pressure, mine has never been a problem, knock wood. Nope, I wouldn’t bother with that brother of yours either. Sounds like you got the weather we had last week, now we’re back to reality. However the sun did come out today, that makes all the difference. Today has been a quiet one, getting odds and ends done and a good start on the Out of School Care programing for the fall. Sometimes I don’t know what year I’m in.

The nice weather is still here but not for long. Next week is all about dropping temps, rain & possibly some snow on Tuesday. Not exactly surprised since it is February haha! I’m heading out to a brunch tomorrow for a friend who finally retired this week, bless her. It will be nice to see more of the old work friends

Removing that old grout sounds as exciting as watching paint dry, geez. Don’t lose your mind on that job.
YB felt ready to drive today so out he went to see one of his Amish customers & order some new cabinets for the garage, made hm happy. The best I can do is stay in touch with my sister-in-law by text. We never stopped talking to one another. My brother prefers to be a grump old man & be left alone. That’s fine with me.

PQ, the increased intraoccular pressure is a direct result of the laser surgery. He never had that before & is being treated now so it shouldn’t be a problem. He’s happy with the results so far, can’t ask for more than that. FB just reminded me of a big snowstorm we had 14 years ago today. My Swiss Mountain dog was gloriously happy sounds like you had a decent day at work, that’s awesome.

Lav, so glad that the surgery went well, and you've got the places all mapped out in case you have to go again. Sorry about your brother, but glad that you still have contact with your SIL. Did you have your lunch with work pals? I'm so glad you continue to get together.

PPQ - there's always a twist with your stories! LOL the boss forgot, or didn't think it through - they are lucky to have you there!!

SLO - sorry about the ulcer - hopefully your therapy will help it heal. Here's wishing that your travels today went well... let us know!

I am packing up for a 5:30 AM flight to Phoenix. A very dear friend and (benefactress of my husband's crazy schemes) is turning 100, and I am going there for the dinner tomorrow night, then a brunch the next morning. Fortunately I have a friend in the area with whom I can stay .... already the flight and car rental (necessary) are costing me a bundle. But I really must go and be a part of it. Not particularly looking forward to it, but will enjoy my friend - when we all lived in the Berkshires of MA, she hosted our wedding in her beautiful garden at her home. What a friend, and now I don't see her often, so that's a perk.

My poor family in California... the father and mother have lawyers and may divorce, but this is a legal separation. He is on a boat that she bought for him. He has gotten a $$$$$ job, and she is basically on food stamps ( I sent her a chunk of cash to take care of the 5 kids at home.) The boy among the 4 girls is becoming a delinquent - he's fallen in with a bad lot. He is literally playing with fire... once burned his hands, and just today kicked a bucket of fire that some other boys started. Burns on his legs. My poor niece-in-law, I'm not sure how she is still mentally intact. She got that family through 11 deployments, saved her husband from committing suicide, but some how she is cast as the villain. I don't know what to do to help, except keep in touch with her and keep giving her support. Sometimes life is so hard for people. I do believe in sending good energy - so I'm concentrating on that, sending to everyone in the family.
Sorry to be a downer... I know that it will all work out eventually. I truly hope that all here have a good weekend - I'll drop in when I can.

TG...wow how plans change, but to be there to celebrate your your dear friend's 100th birthday is priceless and I'm glad you're able to go. Good that you can stay with your friend as unexpected expenses are tough. I'm really saddened hear about your family situation in California, as I've been through roughly the same thing with the ex living the life of Riley and had 2 boys to raise on my own. I couldn't imagine doing it with 5 kids. I believe in you and am sending good energy to you and your family. You could never be a downer. Safe travels...:smile:PPQP

hiya all..how are we doing today then? hope all is well.Just got back from my brothers ..I left at early doors this morning ..nothing on the roads ..supposed to snow this aft Nice to see him ..He goes next week for the pre op assessment ..apparently he is getting robotic surgery ...He has a really positive outlook with his future ..Took my camera out yesterday ..it was raining but I ended up feeding a robin on my hand in the rain ..it cleared up a wee bit and I got some more pics with the camera ...still learning ....

The new milk tray man who is from Liverpool, has been sacked after only one day on the job. He delivered the chocolates OK, but left with the laptop, TV, and DVD and radio!

I had a real nice time with my old friends at the retirement brunch. The retiree was very happy to say the least
No sun for us today but still pretty mild. Should be a bit chillier the next few days as the rain approaches for Tuesday.

Cyn, I hope you’re enjoying your stay with your friend. I couldn’t miss someone’s 100th birthday either, how wonderful.
I’m really sorry to hear about your nephew’s circumstances. His wife & kids are taking the brunt of his actions, that’s sad, sadly she needs a good lawyer to protect the interest of all the kids & herself. I hope something can be worked out asap. Try to relax this weekend & enjoy your change of view :hug:
