    Re: 3 march

    Good morning!

I have been sleeping terribly too, PQ: up at 3 or 4 am every day. My naturopath prescribed some vitamin C yesterday to help me sleep better. I did sleep until almost 5 am last night.
The accountant doesn’t want to have to do any extra accounting work!
That is smart strategy to make sure your lease doesn’t come due in the middle of Winter in Canada.

I have Boyd started on Miralax as of yesterday for his probable constipation, I hope the opposite problem doesn’t start up! -I don’t need cat diarrhea all over the place.

Thank you for sharing your sightseeing in London, Mick. That’s annoying that they sent Julie’s dad out for tests in the middle of the night. Thankfully you didn’t have to go driving home for what amounted to nothing, and the nephew could be with him.
I wish I could walk 12 miles in a row! Those were the days.
PQ, you went to London with your twin? I’m glad you have that memory together.

Lav, a day of energy! I love when those happen. The beautiful daffodils that I planted at my old house (ex-HB’s house) are starting to shoot up now.
    I love chicken pot pie.

TG, at least you understand what “hospital sitting “ is! I tried to arrange that for my MIL overnight each night during her last hospitalization, but HB & FIL yelled at me and nixed it. They said the nurses would watch her. Yeah right -the night nurses can keep a continuous eye on a patient with dementia, and keep her safe all night. Needless to say, she fell and sustained a fracture.
The sun is throwing off much stronger heat now. Nest weekend is already time to “spring forward”.

A happy AF day is wished for you all!
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

hello everyone ...yep thats me ...back home ..set off at 9 this morning hit the London traffic ..plus it was really foggy ..saw 2 smashes on the way up .Got home around 1500.it is really overcast here ..well it has been all day .just get the frozen food off the van and the electrical goodies and that will do for today ..a good soak in the bath ..6 hrs non stop doesnt do your back the best ..apologies for no individualism on the post ..normal service will resume tomorrow ..

When Facebook went down l was forced to talk to my wife.
I was shocked to learn she doesn't work in Woolworths anymore.

One of my mates told me that I often make people uncomfortable by violating their personal space.
Which was an incredibly unnecessary and hurtful thing to say. It ruined our bath.

Why is China so good at cricket?
They take out every country with one bat!!

My friend Joe has just finished the Dolly Parton diet
      It made Joe-lean Joe-lean

Got in to a fight with my acupuncturist and stabbed him!
He said he never felt better!!

        Re: 3 march

        Good evening friends,

We had a break from the rain today, even saw a little sun (but not too much) haha.
Accompanied YB to the foot doctor today who diagnosed his foot pain as plantar fasciitis, yeah, no sh*t after 6 months of hobbling around due to the hip & knee issue. I’ve been telling him this & our daughter who works in PT the same thing. She’s given him exercises to do but he’s ignored all that, of course. Now I’m going to be on his case to do the damn exercises & ordered a foot splint to be used at night to keep that fascia stretched out so he doesn’t have so much pain in the mornings. Why don’t they just listen????? Lol

PQ, from where I sit I think the accountant should have THANKED you for doing the registration & taking payment! What is wrong with her? Haha!
It’s actually good that the dermatologist wants to do a followup. Sounds like she’s keeping a good eye on you. Maybe you should have a canoe handy to take to work when all that snow melts haha. I hope the landlord works out something good for you & your lease.

Slo, I’ve slept better the past few nights, have no idea why. Maybe we’re just not supposed to understand the ‘whys’.
I have a feeling we’re not done with snow yet, we’ve been known to have some pretty good storms in March. I’ll take the rain. We’re now experiencing the annual ant invasion. It’s happened every year since we’ve been here, the spring rains drive them inside, ugh. We have bait traps everywhere (hidden from the cats & dog). I hope Boyd gets some good results from the Miralax. Maybe you need to confine him to one room until you see how it works on him, what a shame.

Mick, glad you got home OK. Hope you’ve soaked away the aches & pains & have gotten some rest

Hello to Cyn, Pie & everyone.

        Have a nice night all!

MAE ALL...good day at work, got all my deadlines met, dealt with some outstanding bookings, basically emailed them to say since I haven't heard anything from you your tentative bookings have expired. If you want to rebook, submit another booking request. LOL Actually had some breathing room and figured out a programming change the boss wanted. We're having a staff lunch tomorrow, surprise surprise the accountant is actually working this Friday.

Slo...good luck with Boyd on the new meds. I like Lav's idea of confining him to one room. My twin was actually married in London, didn't get to go to the wedding, and my nephew was born their. I went over about 3 times before her husband talked her into moving back to Canada. Shortly after they got divorced. Go figure. I have fond memories of London and Mick brings them back with a lot of his posts.

Mick...glad you're home safe and sound, that was quite the trip home. Hope you got a good sleep after your soak.

Lav...sorry, we hogged the sun today. Things are a melting and the slush on the roads is deadly. All it takes is a slow/nervous driver to cause everyone to get stuck. I avoid them at all costs even as much as pulling over and waiting for them to clear the road. LOL You can't tell them anything but the I told you so's can be rewarding. LOL I've never heard of the foot splint to keep the fascia stretched, good to know.

Heard back from the landlord and he's good with starting the lease Jun 1st and not to worry about the rent increase until then. He said he's never required a lease on his rentals but when he got audited by Revenue Canada this year he got slapped for that. I can handle the increase and now I've got a year to figure out my future plans. I'll be turning 70 when the lease comes due!

Shout out to everyone else. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

Hello everyone and how are we today then? Hope?
All is well as we're going to the weekend. Very cold over here today but at least it isn't raining. Just going to pick up the rabbits. Amy is coming down tomorrow.
And we are all going out for a meal. She is picking up some of the stuff from the neglected Cat she is taking on and taking it back to her place for her other cat to get used to and then coming up to pick this one up if that makes sense.

Hiya lav How are you doing? Hope all is Going.
Okay. I used to get pf When I did a lot of running. I found the best thing to do was strap it up with kinetic tape. I remember the exercises. Pulling your toes back standing on steps and lifting up and down standing with your toes next to a wall and all that sort of stuff and yes they do work. I have just start.
Ed planting the early seeds in the Greenhouse lettuce onions broccoli and fingers crossed. Hope you have a good weekend

Hiya ppqp how are you today? Hope all is well .yes thats it next holidays in 7 weeks . don't forget weekend routine..phone off!!

A big hello to everyone else..im just going to pick the monsters up

              Greetings friends,

Well we made the trip (57 miles each way) to go pick up the Gator so YB is happy. It?s a 2006-07 model, looks good. Took a pic of it when we stopped at a Wawa for coffee Lol. It fit nicely in the back of the trailer
              FullSizeRender.jpg

PQ, glad the landlord is behaving decently, that?s a relief! I suggest we form a 70?s club somewhere where it doesn?t get too cold or too hot. What do you think?
Hope the lunch was nice today. Have a great weekend.

Mick, since we have access to so many Amish greenhouses we?ve been getting the seed starts from them for the most part. We always did start our own previously. Hope your weather holds up for outdoor work. Tomorrow is going to be another heavy rain day but Sunday is looking to be better. Have a good weekend, hope Amy is doing well.

Hello to Cyn, Slo, Pie & anyone stopping by later.

              Have a good night all!

MAE ALL...:yay: It's the Weekend! :yay: Slow day today, seemed to drag on forever. Lunch was actually quite good, the boss orders in from some company and they had started to get boring and with all the inflation they had cut back on lots of things, so everyone was pleasantly surprised. Things are continuing to melt and we're in for above normal temps for a week or so. Hope this is the end of the snow and cold but somehow I doubt it.

Mick...hope you found the rabbits happy and healthy. Sorry about the cold but like you said at least it's not raining. Nice that Amy's coming down and you'll get out for a meal. So I was confused when I read what Amy was doing but when I re-read it, it made perfect sense. She's a smart cookie isn't she. Yup, phone off, there's an event tonight and another tomorrow night. Everybody seems exhausted from the week, well maybe not the accountant. LOL

Lav...soo glad you put up a pick, I thought YB was getting into alligators and wondered how that was going to work out. LOL It looks like a golf cart to me. I am all for the 70's club, I know someone who can embroider some sweatshirts for us. Teehee. I remember investigating Sunday Brunch spots for us, so let's get Pi on it, she'll figure out the place to go. I have no commitments for the weekend but if the weather forecast for the weekend holds true hope to spend a lot of time outside.

Thinking of everyone else and hope all is good. Have a good night...:smile:PPQP

                  Mae all,
Thank you all for the news - I just did a quick read-back. I hope all is continuing to be well. I can hardly keep my eyes open at this point - very long day looking at apartments ahead of my step-daughter coming here to decide (She's moving here!!!). Then also doing the hospital thing. SIL has improved enough that they think she will go home tomorrow. So I talked my brother into letting me come clean parts of the house so it will be all tidy and nice for when she arrives. He wouldn't let me go into the bedroom (he's hardly been there, but says there are clothes all over...) I would have liked to put fresh sheets on the bed, but oh well (Probably best... they have one of those split-twins that can be at different angles... I might have messed all that up!)
I was fitted (by the Long-Covid study) with a Garmin watch that pairs with my phone - it records all sorts of information: oxygen levels stress levels(!), fatigue, rate of breathing, i don't know what all. I wear it at night also - interesting info. Anyway, I'll be in bed shortly and it can record whatever it wants!!!
                  Sending good wishes to all,
                  TG

                      Re: 3 march

                      Hello Friends,

I haven’t heard from Wags. I wonder how her dog and her dad are doing? And how her presentation at the college went.

Boyd did finally poop: a big, black pile on the floor. That was after puking up all over his heating pad. And now he’s not eating much of his food. I don’t know if he’s boycotting the Miralax in it, or if it’s some other reason. He’s out sunning himself on the balcony now. Not for long though, because it’s pretty cold out.

Young Daughter & her two best college friends are due here later this afternoon! I got my car all clean, and ready to take them to the airport tomorrow morning for their Spring Break trip -well before the crack of dawn. I can clean the car, but I have to do a little at a time, then rest in between. Pathetic. I miss being fully able-bodied.

Mick, that pigeon is super crisp! Amazing.
That dumb social worker sure is wasting Julie’s time. So frustrating.
Welcome home, and glad your trip was a nice break.

TG, great news that stepdaughter is moving close to you!! Nice of you to scope out apartments ahead of time for her.
And what a nice SIL you are to ready the home for your sis-in-law’s discharge from hospital!
That would be interesting to get feedback on one’s stress levels! Maybe it would teach me not to stress out so much.

PQ, do you have lunch catered in every day at work, or just on Fridays?
I’m relieved to hear that the landlord is working with you, and you can be assured of another year there.

Lav, I guess YB wants to drive around the property in a Gator?
For me, rolling my feet on frozen water bottles and wearing hard shoe inserts are two things that I did for plantar fasciitis. Also rolling my feet on spiky balls, but that was kind of painful.

I babysat Huxley yesterday. Taking him to the children’s play place just about did me in! I was on the couch the rest of my time with him. Pathetic, but it’s my reality now.

We Spring Forward tonight here in the U.S. and lose an hour!

                        Re: 3 march

                        Greetings friends,

Not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep tonight BUT we get more daylight in return so it’s OK. The Amish don’t do this, they just stay on standard time all year long so they can work out in the fields all they want. Raining all day long here, I didn’t even let the chickens out (they stink when they get wet haha). I made a pretty decent dairy free pizza from scratch for dinner & it was good. I miss pizza because of the cheese so if I want some I have to get busy in the kitchen. I had some leftover chicken sausage that I air fried the other day & sliced it up on top of the pizza, yum.

PQ, hope you got some outside time today
The Gator is basically a golf cart, ATV & a mini dump truck all in one. Neither of us like carrying rakes, shovels & tools from one end of this place to the other so the Gator will come in handy. We can load up the back with mulch & dump it right in the gardens. I like that it has the roof to keep you from roasting during the summer. They’re hard to find used so when this one came up on Marketplace we jumped on it haha. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Cyn, that’s good news about your sIL being discharged to home. I’m sure she’s happy to be home. Having. Your DIL nearby will be a real blessing, I’m happy for you. I imagine the Garmin will give the study team lots of info to help design a program that’s just right for you. They may end up telling you to work on sitting down once in a while though haha!!

Mick, good job with the camera, wow!
I’ve noticed a lot of spring allergy symptoms too & absolutely nothing has bloomed yet. I’m at the point of using the nasal sprays & taking antihistamines all year long, ugh. The Gator will be good for YB & save him a lot of foot pain. I’m sure he’ll have a blast using it as much as possible. It runs on regular gas.

Slo, well I’m glad Boyd had some results, sorry about his choice of location though Lol. Maybe he’ll get his appetite back after everything settles down. Sounds like you’ve been busy with family & that’s not a bad thing. I wish I had the stamina I had just 20 years ago, it’s frustrating to say the least. At the end of the day we can do what we do & that’s it I’m afraid.
YB used that foot splint last night that I got from Amazon. He said his foot felt so much better this morning & he’s doing the exercise for a change, go figure. I just remember so many of my coworkers with plantar fasciitis, always felt bad for them. Hang in there

I haven’t heard from Wags, think I may shoot her a massage now.
Hello to Pie & anyone else looking in tonight.

                        Have a nice night all.
