    Re: 10th March ...

I did enjoy myself yesterday when Young Daughter came with her friends! I have missed her, and I enjoyed getting to know her friends better. We went out to eat at a sushi restaurant. In the wee hours this morning then I made the 2 1/2-hour round trip journey to get them to the airport, and they are on their way to Naples, Florida for Spring Break!

I think Boyd is at the end of the line. He is refusing food, and is still throwing up and also peeing some on the floor.

Lav, that’s great that you were able to snag a used Gator off of Marketplace finally. Sounds like just what you need on the property. Mick is right: I bet the grandsons would love to drive it around!

Restaurants are really busy here on Mother’s Day. No wonder your restaurant was busy yesterday, Mick, if it was Mother’s Day there. You had two mothers to celebrate, in a way!

PQ, it’s still the weekend! Enjoy!

Tomorrow I’m driving with my sister to go pick up my son-in-law’s truck at a repair shop down where he had an accident. It will be nice to have time together. I’m a little lonely living alone. But, I have to remember that the marriage was very lonely too.

I guess our site here will be shut down tomorrow for a day or so. I will miss you all!

      Re: 10th March ...

      Sunday greetings all,

Lost an hour of sleep but it actually didn’t hurt much, haha. Guess we’re getting used to these stupid time changes.
It’s crazy windy & we’ve had flurries off & on all afternoon despite the sun shining & the sky blue, weird. Don’t forget we have our Messenger group to use if needed

Mick, Happy Mother’s day to Julie. The first of many for Amy too. Having a granddaughter is awesome, they melt your heart, you’ll see. The grandsons have been introduced to the riding mowers so they’ll have no problem with the Gator. I’ll make them ride me around while giving good lessons, haha!

Slo, glad you enjoyed your daughter & her friends. They have so much energy at that age, it’s wonderful.
Even though YB is back in residence I still feel lonely at times, I understand the feeling. I have turned my attention to self care, grandkids, craft work, gardening, chickens…..basically anything that won’t give me any grief. It is what it is I guess.

Hello to PQ, Cyn, Pie & anyone checking in later.
      Have a nice night all!

Wow, finally was able to login again, YAY!!!!

Since we’ve all been chatting the last half hour I won’t repeat myself here.
Glad everyone is OK. Now we need to get PQ & Cyn (TG) back online too.

MAE ALL...well, not sure where I left off so will just start again. We were woken up Sat morning at 3:00am with all kinds of sirens, police, fire, ems...turns out there was a truck on fire just one parking spot away from mine. Apparently it had been stolen and they ditched it and stole another truck from our lot. It was found a couple of neighbourhoods away where it was ditched and another vehicle stolen. I've been busy at work as usual and getting ready for my Community Garden AGM tomorrow night.

Mick...oh no, the norovirus strikes again. Hope you feel better soon.

I find it difficult to get into the group chat on messenger as I don't know who I'm talking to. I prefer the forum for sure. Shout out to the group. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

            X-post Lav, I'm back. LOL

              Hello all -
Whew, glad that the site is up again. I tried to log in, but it must have been just when the site was being revised. I was worried when I saw the new "look" of it all, but fortunately all I had to do was press PQ's recent post link and I was in.

Glad that there was some Mother's Day enjoyment in the UK, Mick - but you picked up the norovirus again? Where do you think you got it? At the restaurant? I hope you heal well and quickly.

Lav, the mower sounds great - you'll be a patient teacher for the kids.

PPQ - sheesh, never a dull moment! So glad it wasn't your car on fire... when I thing of all the stuff I "store" in my car, I realize that it really isn't that smart to do that...

SLO - I understand feeling lonely - I hope you continue to find some things that suit you to spend a little time on, maybe with others. It's hard to find those things, but I wish you luck. Sorry about the kitty - but maybe he is ready to go...

Did I say that my SIL has been in the hospital? So that was intense. But she is home now, and I got over to their place and (with permission) did some cleaning up. Maybe more than my brother wanted, but I had to have their (fortunately large) bathroom all clean before she came home. Ditto kitchen. (though she won't be up to cooking soon.) The GI stuff is still a challenge - she may see another specialist soon. I just dropped off some food at their hous - hung it on the door from the garage to the inside. My brother is a little cranky now and didn't want to "deal", so I am giving him space.

I'm back to taking dinners over to my Elder friend - but not staying to make sure she eats. If I dish it up, ready to go into the oven or microwave, she's more apt to eat it.

Worn out by all these various things, plus working (and chaotic Homeless Meals this morning - workers/people missing, missing some food stuffs, etc.) Also had Long Covid OT, PT, and ST today, so I am bushed. My Step-daughter is coming on the 19th to look at apartments (she is going to move here! At least for a time...) so I have to get this apartment workable for 2 people... we'll see...

Hello to Det, Pauly, Sam and anyone dropping by...

MAE All, checking in on Pi Day. Ten plus months of no AL monkey on my back is a huge relief. Mighty grateful for our group here that helped me gain traction.

I’ll admit to being a huge fan of how easy it is to engage on Messenger, especially on my phone which is where I am most of the time.

                  Anyway, greetings to all!

Hello, everyone! And happy Pi day to Pie! My hairstylist was just telling me that March 14th in her home country of Albania is a huge celebratory day called, I think, “Summer Day”, where they all celebrate the approach of Summer.

i knew you had a stuffed-up head, Mick, but sorry that it turned out to be Noro virus again!
Congrats on scoring a “new” laptop.
The debit card joke is hysterical!

So you have to host a meeting tonight, PQ? Scary about the fire so close to your vehicle, and about the shenanigans going on in your parking lot.

TG, you sure have a lot going on. Oh: step daughter is moving there before she has a place of her own rented! Hopefully she’ll be good company, and that that works out to have her living with you temporarily. I’m sure your SIL appreciates your loving care, even if you have to dodge your brother.
I wonder if Boyd just has a digestive ailment, or if his time is up. This is the hard part of having a pet. I take him to the vet again today.

Lav, thank you for the reminder that being married is no guarantee against loneliness. I had my sister over the other day again. Tomorrow I babysit Huxley. Sunday I have St. Patrick’s Day dinner at my mother’s, And Monday I travel to help out with the three grandkids somewhat north of here.

                    Off to acupuncture soon!

MAE ALL...quick jump in before the meeting. What a day, I thought things were quieting down but nope.

TG...glad my post helped you find your way. LOL Glad your SIL is out of the hospital and probably a good idea to give your brother some space.

Pi...thought of you all day today. CONGRATS on 10 plus months, we're so glad you're back.

SLO...I concur about marriage not being a guarantee against loneliness, those were some of my loneliest days. Sounds like you've got a few busy days ahead of you.

Mick..glad you're feeling at least better than you were. Sometimes I do wonder what city I'm living in. No prize fighters tonight, just the garden gnomes.

Lav...bet your post appears just after I log off. Hope you had a good day.

Time to get into meeting mode. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

                            Good evening friends,

Only took 3 attempts to login tonight, nice
Looks like I’ve missed a bit of news with everyone, sorry.

PQ, so glad that fire didn’t spread to your car, geez. I hope the police caught up with that creep.

Mick, glad you’re better & possibly going detecting Sunday. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Pi, CONGRATS on your 10 AF months :yay:
life is better without that monkey on our backs.

Slo, sounds like you’re staying busy enough. Have you tried any of the ‘Sensitive’ cat foods for Boyd. I know the Purina Sensitive dry food helped YB’s cat a lot. She still pukes but nowhere near as often.

Cyn, sounds like you are wearing yourself out looking after so many others. Be sure to schedule in some ‘ME’ time, please.
so you’ll be having some live-in company for a while, could be a good thing but I hope she doesn’t expect to be waited on or anything haha. You are way too busy for that! Take good care of yourself.

                            have a good night everyone!

MAE ALL...:yay: It's the Weekend! :yay: The accountant was a right out b*tch today. Did what she wanted, not what she was ask. When I asked her if she's ready to go through a procedure with the new program she said I'm just about finished, writing up the procedure and then I'll sit with you. I just said Nope, that wasn't what was asked of you and walked out. Went for lunch before I said something that would have gotten me fired. Sure as sh*t when I got back she said "this" worked but when I did "this" it didn't work and I don't know how to fix it. I felt like saying, guess you'll have to figure it out then. But of course I showed her how to fix it and then wrote the procedure myself. Boss was seriously p*ssed with her. Then I get an email from the boss saying he'd created a contract for a client but the payment didn't go through. I though OMG I've done nothing with contracts, that's all been up to him. So did a crash course on the contracts module and in about 15 minutes figured out what probably went wrong, told him how to fix it and then said I'm out of here and left for the day. This has been a crazy week and it's like that with everyone. Must be some cosmic clashes going on in the atmosphere. Kitchen rental tomorrow morning and big client bar event in the evening and my phone is off. LOL

Mick...yay, finally a chance to go detecting. We're going to be 65 on Sunday and by Thursday 18 with 8 inches of snow. Go figure.

Lav...hope you have good weather and a good weekend.

Shout out to the gang. Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP
