I noticed when I went grocery shopping this week that they have little (half size) bottles of wine. They are 375 ml instead of 750. That's two big glasses if you count like me. Well, in general, I am going AF at home and moding only when I go out (about once/week). But, yesterday was my b-day and I wanted to treat myself w/some wine w/dinner. DH doesn't drink, though, and I didn't wanted to be tempted by a whole bottle. Even if I didn't want the whole bottle, I'd probably end up drinking it because I wouldn't want to 'waste' it.
Anyway, so I bought one of these little bottles and drank it last night. It was very satifsying. The perfect amount for how I want to mod. No leftovers and no hangover this morning. The funny thing is I didn't finish it all w/dinner so I put my second glass back in the fridge to have after the kids went to bed. When I took it out later to have while watching Big Brother on Tivo, my DH says 'How many glasses do you get out of that little bottle?!?!' like he was amazed at how long it lasted because I used to finish a whole bottle in less time. I used to take my wine w/me to get the kids ready for bed and even keep drinking while reading bedtime stories. Well, I guess you had to be there to hear how he said it, but it was just so funny because its almost like he thought it was a magic miniature bottle of wine that just never ran out. He didn't realize its just the difference between sipping/saving vs. glugging it down as quickly as possible. LOL
