    Happy day everyone.

Hope you all are well today. Just trying to stay cool around here we can't seem to break out of the 90's. As my daugther would say we're "sweatin' to death".

Getting a fence on our property because we can't seem to keep our kids in it. My son who has autism runs one way and my toddler runs the other. Usually one runs to the highway and one runs to the neighbors pool. I can't take the stress anymore so it was either a fence or locking them all in a closet

    Have a great day.

Hope it cools off for you Beaches. Good idea on the fence, it is amazing how fast those short little legs can run! i owe whatever fitness I have to working with preschool students in special education. I got back from my lovely vacation in Seattle and Ashland, OR a few days ago and am rushing to catch up on things before I go back to work tomorrow. I thought of you St. Jude as we drove across the Rouge River. Beautiful country. Hi to all in modsville - hope you have a great day.

Great plan for the fence Beaches. That will cut back on alot of stress on your part.

Louise, I am so jealous of your vacation! It sounds wonderful.

Hubby, is half way trying to redeem himself. I am still not talking to him but, he hung out with the kids all day yesterday taking them whenever he left the house for something and went out and bought steaks and actually sat at the table to eat dinner with them and had them sleep in our room. I avoided him like the plague, worked late, read the paper, went out for an extra long run followed by an extra long shower and then went to sleep early.
Sometimes I wonder...."Why is that frisbee getting bigger?"...and then it hits me.

Beaches-super idea for the fence - great for the kids and you. Seems like I read about a tragedy in the paper every day that could have been avoided by what you're doing now. Louise-glad you enjoyed your trip. I've always wanted to go to Ashland. PP- hope you patch things up with hubby. It's so stressful to be angry for long periods of time.

Of course, I should talk. I went online last night, noticed on hubby's website that he took full credit for an annual event that we co-founded and continue to work on together. He's out of town, so I emailed him. Granted, he does put many more hours into it than I do, but our event wouldn't have gotten off the ground and wouldn't go as smoothly without my work.

I've been trying to put more time into my own interests because I'm tired of doing the second fiddle thing, but I also am concerned that I'm being too egotistic about it all.

HI everyone, Beaches you will find you can relax a little with a fence, it does give a little peace of mind. It keeps other people and animals off your property also. Louise sounds like you had a nice vacation although the catch up is alot of work. PP good hubby is trying to do the right thing, sounds like he has it made and just gets to comfortable having everything done for him and has to have a reality check lauched on him now and then. Zincityzen that stinks, I just hate it when proper credit is not given it hurts peoples feelings and justifiably so.

Have a great day and Hi to all to come!!!!!

Beaches, the fence is a great idea. Anything you can do to make life easier for yourself while taking care of the kids gets a thumbs up from me!
Loiuse, your vacation sounds great! But coming home can be tough somethimes too.
PP, glad your hubby is at least feeling a little bit bad about his behavior! Sounds like you are dealing with things in a very good way-an extra long run and shower are a great idea.
Zen, husbands do like to take all the credit, don't they!
To everyone else, good morning, and hope your day is great!
I am planning to be AF tonight. I was not last night. I was not terrible, but wasn't quite my definition of mods either. I am going to write more about it on general. In all it was a rather encouraging sign, and a really good learning experience. So, another beautiful day of life. I am going to enjoy it, enjoy my kids, and dance!:dancin:

Hi everybody! Just enjoying a lzy day off...finally.
PP- good for you, going for that long run. I know for me.. one of my triggers is anger, that would have been a real easy time for me to fly off the handle...I hope your Hubby realizes what a gem he has.

Louise- Glad you had a great trip! Ashland is a pretty town. I went to SOSC in 1979, & worked in Lithia Park for a season after that. It was my first home away from Mom & Dad. Quite a contrast.. going from the sawmill in the frontyard (Redneck city!)to Ashland (Hippy central!) not to label or anything... but lets be honest...

Beaches- I think a fence sounds like a great idea in your situation. I'm thinking of putting one out front to keep the "pushy relgious fanatics" offa my porch!:H

Zin-You deserve to get credit for work you do & shouldn't have to ask for it... shame on your Hubby!

I swear I can spend 5 minutes @ my Folk's house, & I'm SOOO grateful that my Hubby isn't at all like my Dad! Of course if he were, we'd have never married. It just makes me sick the way my Mom waits on him hand & foot.
I had a table last night @ work, the Mom asks for more napkins, they were just a few feet away from where they were sitting. I leaned over, grabbed a bunch, put them on the table, looked @ the woman & said, "What's the matter, did your legs fall off when ya sat down?" Of course I was smiling & laughing when I said it, and she had a bunch of kids...
It was pretty funny. She wasn't expecting that!:H

Hi all ? Its another one of my infrequent appearances?..Seems like everyone is sailing along. Again, so many new faces! I?m still busier than a one-armed paper hanger but it keeps me out of trouble (for the most part). Bad part is I have virtually no time for things I used to enjoy ? like coming here. Hopefully my world will start to slow down and I can get back here.

Beaches ? It's Africa hot here.nfire: I can barely take it. I vote for the fence. It seems more humane than the closet ? although sometimes?.

Louise ? Sounds like a beautiful trip. Did you visit Miss Lushy?

PP ? I hear you on husbands. They are difficult to train. Been in your spot and sometimes space is the answer. ull I hope it gets better soon for you.

Judie ? I love your napkin story. I encountered similar people when I waitressed. I was always amazed by some idiotic behavior at least once a day. Glad you can do it with a laugh and a smile!

Zin, Sammys, Amethyst and all my old friends in Modsville ? have a good one! Where's Lushy?

Judie, I had to laugh at your comment about Ashland. It truly is out of character of much of southern Oregon. Now it is lots of Yuppies and old hippies. But the plays are hard to beat. No Hawk, I did not get to see Lushy. Maybe next time!
