Morning Betty and everyone who checks in later. Betty I am glad the results are in and an appointment is set, all the waiting must be pretty stressful. I know they want you to come in and see the doctor for the results but sometimes I wish they could speed things up a bit or just give you the info over the phone. I know sometimes its not that simple.

Have a good start to your week everyone,
    Sammys

          Hi all,

My weekend update for my first weekend trying to mod was average. It was a lot harder to mod than I thought it would be but my number one goal was to be in control no blackouts etc. Mission Accomplished! I drank more than I had planned but Sat night was an annual wine festival at a local vineyard (big Party with lots of friends). I was aware of my plan the whole time & was not smashed. Hope everything is well with all of you!! Planning no drinking until possibly Fri Night.

Welcome Marley! Make yourself at home here. Nice to have you with us.

Sammys...first flooding and now wasps on the attack...what is going on in your neighborhood?? I think it's time to call a priest.

Betty, I hope it is not too stressful waiting inbetween doc appts.

Mary, hope your legs continues to heal and you get to go swimming soon.

I have to get back to work here myself, my assistant called in sick so I am flying solo today. Have a great day everyone!
Sometimes I wonder...."Why is that frisbee getting bigger?"...and then it hits me.

                Hi all,

I just lost my post changing my mood thingy. Another thing to add to a crappy day.

I am still struggling with my Sunday drinking habbit. A year later on the program and it is still a problem for me. I did great all week. AF Tues, Wed and Thurs. Fine on Friday and then I couldn't turn off the switch. We had family company on Saturday and shared many bottles of wine, which was ok. I didn't get smashed or anything, but I continued to drink by myself on Sunday. I have tried ways to deal with this Sunday problem, like getting out of the house. But it usually comes back to Sunday being the one day I have to do the laundry and other assorted household chores. We are so busy with soccer, school work etc that I end up leaving those things to do until Sunday. And now with Football starting we will be home even more.

My hubby was pretty pissed at me this morning for missing work and I will have to deal with that most of the day as well. I could have gone to work, but I looked terrible and probably smelled bad too. Oh sigh, time to make the most of a day at home. Finished the laundry and other stuff I didn't do yesterday because I drank to much to be useful.

Any thoughts on the Sunday problem would be welcome.

                Marly, Welcome and great job.

                Did anyone ever find Judy?

                Peace to you all,
                Laura

Laura, I think I have judies email address, I will email her .....

Do you keep booze in the house????

I used to have a problem with all day drinking but now go to fetch it at about 7pm if we are going to drink, and then only as much as we want to drink ........

                  Thinking about you ........

PP, I don't stress too much, Its practically a way of life these days ....

Love & Hugs to everyone .........

Laura sorry that Sunday was so rough for you. I hate doing all the housework etc piles up too and used to find that I drank way too much when I would start doing it all. Now I just don't do any...ha kidding. What about trying to space it out a little more throughout the week so you aren't slammed on Sunday. Staying up a little later or getting up a little earlier so you can get some of this stuff done. I started doing some of my normal weekend cleaning during the week. I used to wait until the kids were asleep and stay up until 2 am to get it done. Not anymore!
                    Good luck to you
