    hello again

    I left a few weeks ago saying i had too many goals - stop/cut dow nbinge drinking, stop smoking, lose weight, get exercising.
    Well I have counted my units for last week(and I suspect week before) - 30 a week.
    Also not surprisingly I haven't lost any weight - in fact I've put on weight and am the heaviest I've been in years. I have also been hungover at work in the week twice in the last 2 weeks.
    Bizarrely people keep saying that I look slimmer - my jeans are mega tight so I've no idea what that's about.
    I think this goal of moderation is so interwoven with my others that I need the support and advice here.

    Anyway it's good to be back - I'm off to check out last few weeks posts.
    My goal is abstinence in the week apart from 1 day when I can have 3 drinks max and moderation(4 drinks) per night max friday and saturday.
    Will work on not smoking in January!

    Hello Bear....welcome back!

    Good that you've set some goals for yourself.....I think it can be overwhelming to take on too many things at one time. If you feel physically better for not drinking so much and you'll lose weight with less alcohol, I'm sure you'll find tackling the smoking and exercise goals much easier.

    Good Luck...keep coming back here, the support is so helpful.

        We're all works in progress. Try not to do everything at once.

            Welcome back Bear, I am tackling many things at the present also,Weight, kids sports, work, horses, you name it!

            You will be fine, I am glad to read about your problems, cuz it makes me feel human, Like I have the same things going on as others, I love you for all the reasons we have in common and hope you are ok with your endevours (spelling??)

            Anyway, enough rambling, Keep in touch and keep on "keeping-on"

              Hey Bear,

              Glad you are back! We are all toughest on ourselves. Cut yourself some slack dear!! One thing at a time, maybe start with the drinking and moderating, then say in January or by March, you want to start on the smoking or the weight issue - Give yourself some time under your belt before you start trying to do it all at one time.
