Hi Beaches,

I'm a water lover too! Today my husband and I travel to the shore where we keep our sail boat, and will be working on cleaning the hull and deck. Yesterday it was too busy with Nole blowing through, but today should be tolerable.

I felt really proud of myself yesterday: I really moderated. It seems that is the best I can do / expect these days. But I'll take whatever blessings come whatever way!

I'm smiley today.

Just a year ago 21 year old Emily said goodbye to her family as she was dying of lung disease. In January she had a lung transplant and was given a new lease of life.

Yesterday she got married.

Morning all-wow waves-what a great story!
I had an AF night last night, took a long hot bath and read a trashy novel. I love the extra hour of sleep in the fall. Now if I could only convince the cats and dog to stay put that extra hour....they were up at their normal time, wanting to be fed, and the dog wanted out. Sigh. Oh well, early start to my Sunday:H

Hi All,

It's been a while, I have been popping into different boards trying to find a comfy place around here again. For now, I'm hanging out with you guys. Mod has always been my favorite place, so here I try again.

I know to make this work, I have got to stop drinking on Sundays. I do pretty good all week and then Sunday comes and messes me up. Not today, I have a full day planned with no drinking.

Waves, Thank you for sharing. That was great to hear.

Beaches, I just put all the boy's shorts away 2 weeks ago and now it is 80 degrees outside. I got sunburned out on the soccer field yesterday. Sigh!

Hi all!

Busy day for me today as well which, like Laura, can be a bad day of drinking for me so I am glad I will be busy. Then I plan on being AF until Friday. I need new jeans and I refuse to buy another pair in the size I currently wear. I need a smaller size.

Hey Ya'll!
Must be something in the air! I stopped off after work for 1 and ended up having 2! Got to talking & a friend ordered another for the both of us...
Of course, rather than say, "No thank you..." I graciously accepted...
Don't wanna be "Rude Jude"...

Oh well, at least my headache has finally left me alone. Yesterday was the first day in a while I've felt like being outside. It's just been too bright.
Got out & paddled for a few hours before work, think I'll do it again today! Gotta squeez in every last day before the monsoons hit.

Heya crew, had a really fun halloween party last night but managed to completely overdo the vino and now feel like dooky. arg. ruined a very long DF streak. dang it.

It's 5:45 pm on the East Coast of the USA and I had a great day. My husband and I worked on our sailboat all day -- polishing stainless, cleaning hull & deck, etc., etc. It was a cool but beautiful day. We got lots done and are both satisfied & tired. No alcohol, but will have some wine with dinner -- in moderation, of course!

Hope all of you had a good day, too. I love it when I can be outside and in the fresh air!

I went AF today, and intend on staying that way til at least Friday, then who knows?? Really wanted to do the 30 days to get it all out of my system, but don't know if I can

If I stay sober more than I drink through the week, that makes me feel good at least!

Hi Everyone,

I'm back. Finished a great homemade dinner (that I prepared). Cleaned up the kitchen and am winding down. Today was great. Had a little wine for dinner...but not too much! Hopefully, I will enjoy the rest of the evening reading and relaxing and getting ready for a good night sleep. Goodness knows I don't sleep that well any more and I am eternally grateful for a night when I can sleep through the night...or most of it. Anyway, for those of you who will be up for a while longer...be well!

It's great to be able to come here and share my "progress" ... such as it is. I am so grateful to be alert at this hour and to be able to post this message!
