Looks like everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Glad to see so many here. I feel I have so many things to be thankful for and you are all a part of that!

MA, you sound better! Positive Attitude! Questioning life is part of that divorce process. I think it is a very healthy part of it.

Judie, that was a wonderful poem yesterday! I hope you had a great one. I followed your advice - actually I live by your advice. thank you!!!!! I don't normally even take the supps but since we were headed to the family drink palace where strong, mixed drinks are passed around and refilled constantly . . I took 3 kudzu and 2 L-gluts. I ended up with 1 and 1/2 drinks over the afternoon evening but I bet it was closer to 3 shots. All in all though, not bad considering that crowd. Kept, taking my glass and filling it with water, at one point the hostess threw my water out and made that next drink. She is unaware of my struggle though so to her, she was being a super great hostess.

Sammys hope your husband is feeling better. Glad to see you here too.

Tawny you too! I LOVE the summer but am enjoying looking out the window at the first dusting of snow on trees. It was shirt sleeve weather last weekend. Amazing eh??

Been up since 3:30, cleaning the frig, making my grocery list and doing all that stuff that will get me set for the holidays. I have a pre-op thing this morning, fun, fun. Part of not being able to sleep well, I imagine. Going to try to get my tree up and decorated and some extra cooking in this weekend so I can have my surgery on Tuesday. If I do not make it here much, not cause I don't love you all, just can't get here in a private way.

Good morning Mary and Lori and fellow modsters,

Our Thanksgiving was a bit different. FIL ended up in the hospital so we went to a neighbor's for dinner. We had to cook all of our food in the morning (some of which we brought), then clean the whole kitchen. Then off to their house to repeat. By the time we finished helping clean up after their dinner I was shot!

Did ok with wine yesterday. More than you Mary but reasonable for me.

I would never consider shopping today, except online.

Ducky, Any word on when the test results for your FIL will be ready?

As for me, I am feeling anxious and sad. Trying to focus on what I'm learning in therapy but I think that today might just be a cry day. I got alot pent up so its no suprise I got alot to let out. It's wierd for a day or two I'm fine and then I sort of lose it again. I'm generally managing by drinking but I have noticed that I have had more recently - probably due to the holidays. Sometimes I think that I'm trying to tackle too much and sometimes I feel overwhelmed.

I am looking forward to my time with my friend later today and I hope that we can have a chance to talk some while we are in the massage chairs.

MaryAnne yes it is healthy and I'm kinda suprised to find that I suppressed so much of it for so long. I think the reason was that I didn't want people to see how much I was affected by it. Well it shows through anyway and therefore the only person I was fooling was me. What a silly goose!

Lorelei, it will probably be a day or two because of the holiday. He got very sick to his stomach and fell, hitting his head and biting his tongue. They don't know if it was a freak accident or a seizure so they are doing a workup.

MKR- Surgery this time of year? Hope it's nothing too major. Hope Hubby is a great nurse for when you get home too! If nothing else "milk it" for all it's worth! Never know when you'll get to rest... Seriously, wishing you a speedy recovery:h

Ducky- Having had seizures myself... that does sound pretty suspect, with the falling & biting his tongue. I hope they find out what's wrong soon. It's scarey not knowing. Hope today is a better day for you.

Lorelei- A massage does sound wonderful. Very thereputic too! I may just go jump in the hot tub @ Mom & Dad's before work today.

Cowgal- I'm glad you had a good walk yesterday. Sounded peaceful. I've been thinking about you a lot. I think sometimes just getting away for a while is just what we need to get in touch with ourselves. Listen to that inner voice...

Amethyst- I was having flashbacks of the old days of living in my tipi & treehouse yesterday... Like when I was preping the turkey to put it in the oven...using my fancy extension handle faucet...remembering all of baking I used to do without running water...
I used to bake biscuits on top of my woodstove, with a skillet turned upside down, put the biscuits on the skillet, with a bigger pan turned upside down over that. It worked.
In my treehouse I was always running out to fill the pitcher with rain water out of my barrel, when ever I was cooking, so I could rinse stuff as I cooked. (less mess later) I did have ellectricity, so I always had a coffee peculator going (with just water in it ), for rinsing.
It was a pretty "fancy" treehouse...stained glass too!
I even had Christmas lights!:H Year round!

Pretty funny though, now the only way to light our fireplace is with a remote control! No more splitting wood... let alone firing up my chainsaw..(I kinda miss that...but not too much..LOL)
