Here it's only 7.18pm but in the UK it 12.18am so I think that i'm able to start this thread .......

We have had a long long day, but have eventually got here ............

SOOOOOOOOO Glad you made it safe and sound!!! I will wave to you Friday as I fly over you onto my way to Miami for ANOTHER meeting...........then I will wave as I drive by on Sunday w/ my son in his new car(EXCITING for him, but he only has a permit, so I have an 8 hour drive vs a one hour flight )

Aiming to go AFtoday and up until Friday, these meetings are "free-flowing" al, so hard to go AF, but moderated well in Vegas, and will do the same in Miami..............

Hey all! Sounds like everyone is having fun on their trips. We are just a bunch of jet setters these days. I had a very nice weekend but, am ready for another AF stretch. This will be day 2. Hannah Montana concert was a lot of fun. My daughter enjoyed it immensely. Friday I had a cocktail reception, Saturday was a Gala for my kids school and Sunday was Superbowl party. Now I am sick with a cold I have to remember I'm not in my 20s anymore.

Have a WONDERFUL time trix! I am soooo envious of all you people in warmer climates.

We just had an inch of snow fall in the last hour and a half.... and it looks like it isn't letting up. No Vancouver Aquarium for us today - whhhhaaa! I cannot believe how much it has snowed here in the last week!

A day for snow angels - another great alternative, I guess!

Bet you come back w/ a killer tan................Yeah, slightly jealous, as I will get maybe a few hours Sunday to be out by the pool................I love the sun!! (know it is bad for me though as sis and FIL are dermatologists.......well, they can take care of all my skin problems for me when I get older! )

Hello all you lovely modsters!

I haven't been on in almost two weeks. Sorry I do not have the time right now to catch up individually with everyone but sounds like a bunch of you are doing pretty well. Off partying around the country! Hope you have a great time!

Some people sent PM's which did not show up in my email box. Pretty weird eh? Thank you for them, I appreciate you so much, you know who you are!!

My younger sister's cancer is big nasty invasive, familial genetic mutation is what her oncologist called it. I have been with her every step of the way. Poor thing, she did get some extra meds for anxiety. My dad has MRSA, the staph strain that can kill you, I believe he has passed it to my mom. I have her checking with her infectious disease doctor. I had my sisters testing run for that too. She has an odd rash on her hand. They wanted to do emergency surgery on her but she had too much blood thinning meds in her body, so we have it scheduled for next Monday.

Friday at her hospital pre op appointment, my orthopedic surgeon came up and gave me a hug, then asked where my crutch was . . . in the car . . . BUSTED!! My knee is doing OK. Back to full time wearing my huge brace but it is helping me to be able to walk. MA, I hope your recovery is going well!

I actually bought a big bottle of rum last week on my way home from the first oncologist appointment with her then having to stop at my parents and tell them the diagnosis prognosis. I had three shots that night, first time I did that in a couple years now. I have had some, not huge amounts but certainly more than I have had in one week since joining MWO. I am crumbling some but last night decided to just stop knowing the bottle is there.

PS: On the super side of life: my oldest is at the University of California at SF doing an interview for a residency program out there. he wants to specialize in infectious diseases . . . EVERY mother's dream their kid would choose that!! NOT!! Still I am very proud of him.
