Hey all, nobody starting the thread here in modsville, so I thought I would do the honors..............am here at work readying myself for a flight to Miami (in one of those little tiny planes ..............fear is pulsing through my body just thinking about it)

BUT when I get there, I hope to enjoy some sunny warm weather, though the report says thunderstorms and rain:upset: ......................Ihope they are wrong!!!

Good luck to everyone moderating this weekend, I intend to moderate just like last weekend, then Monday, my goal is AF..............we'll see though, just so I can get through the weekend alright.........will be visiting my MIL in Boca, who is giving my son David her old "Lexus" (spoiled little sh*t, no really he is a good kid, just jealous!!!) He will drive himself and me home on Sunday(talk about needing a drink!!:H )

Ought to be an adventure to say the least!!

Cowgal and all modsters, Good morning and happy Friday. Old Lexus, does'nt sound like the first car I had. 1972 Chevy Nova. Good luck with the whole trip and hope you have some good weather. Beats 25 Degrees and snow. I'm with you on mod for the weekend and AF during the week. I did'nt do very well with AF during last week and that is my ultimate goal. Best to you and all to come today.

Hi to you too Kat. Usually weekends are easier for me to drink less as I work then. But now with the cafe being closed I really have to keep myself busy doing other things for a few weeks. Time does fly when you're not working though. It's already been a week!


It's a sad day here @ home. This morning Hubby took Sammy, the great pyrraneise/lab mix (we inherited from his folks when they moved to Fla 2 yrs ago)back to the animal shelter.:upset:
We were only planning to have him temporarily when we first took him in... then find him a home. But after not finding anyone to take him, we both fell in love with him, and now it's been 2 1/2 years almost 3...
Just recently, this past month... our other dog, rotwieller/lab mix & sammy have started fighting. It's happened twice in the past 3 weeks. They're both big dogs. It's really scarey, and practicly impossible to seperate them once they start into it. About a month ago I had to take Hubby to the emergency room for puncture wounds from dog bites, when he was bitten trying to break them up.
They got into it again yesterday... I don't know what I'd have done if Scott wasn't here. I don't think I could get them apart. I tried pouring water on them... no effect whatsoever.
Sammy is wonderful with people, and most of the time these dogs seem fine together. But lately, it's like they're both trying to be the "alpha' male...and it keeps getting worse.
I just feel so heartbroken to have to send him there, but we can't have this war zone in our house. We can't take the chance on someone being bitten trying to break up a fight again either. It's really terrifying when they get into it.
I just pray someone will adopt him to a good home.:h He really is a good dog.

It's the same shelter I got my Bungee dog from.
I'm sure they'll find him a home. I just hope it's really soon. He's such a big lover (with people) The shelter is near the beach, and has lots of volunteers that come & walk the dogs along the water dailey. He really is a beautiful boy...
I'm just really sad to say goodbye...

Ok. I have three girls and they have been fighting lately. I don't know how to break it up!!
The oldest is a chow-lab-golden mix (a bit like a cat - "i'll love you on MY terms") ... the middle "child" is a Jack Russell 'terrorist' ... and the BIG 88# 'baby' is a Chocolate Labrador.

The JR is alpha but has been getting her butt kicked lately. I worry about what will happen when I am at work ... although they seem to only vie/fight for my attention.

Geeezzzzz. Worse than kids! any advice out there????

Hello Modsters!
I've had a fun night of cleaning my house, ok I lied, not fun :H . I decided to get carpets cleaned on Monday, so I'm working on emptying one of the rooms that will get done.

I stopped out for a bit last night with an old friend/coworker. I hadn't seen him in 3 months or so. It was nice to catch up a bit. Hubby was very crabby when I came home. He still is very touchy when I go out for drinks. It is understandable and I know that I deserve it for what I've put him through in the past. I wasn't out late, I didn't over do it, there really was no reason for him to be mad. Oh well, maybe he had PMS? :H
