    Modster Monday - March 31st!

    Good day Modsters!

    With the new month coming tomorrow I am motivated to try harder to cut my drinking down. I am doing better on the whole than when I started here, but still have a ways to go. I actually ordered the 6 week starter kit to help motivate myself and make sure I have the right supplements. I also want to start eating more healthfully. I have been exercising but not losing weight because I eat and drink too much.

    I hope to see a lot of modsters check in. Off to get my braces tightened.

    Hi Ducky,
    I'm with ya. With a couple of social events behind me now, and a cold that has taken up residence in my larynx and chest--I'm going to try harder. Like you, I'm doing way better than I was, but I want to go AF for several days, eat better, and exercise more!:goodluck:

      Ducky and LVT25, Ditto.....I'm one board with you for a healthy AF/Mod Start to spring. I'm back to my AF Sun-Thurs and mods for the weekend. Have not made it the full 5 days yet but am more determined than ever as I am going to my sisters graduation in Florida Come May and I don't want to look all bloated. Lets do this, full speed ahead !!!!

        Hey Kat and LTV, I am glad to have some company! I had a healthy breakfast and plan to work out later. I want to start weaving some AF weekdays in, and stick to one cocktail or 2-3 glasses of wine when I do indulge. I turn 50 this summer and I am tired of feeling like crap and carrying 25 extra pounds. Let's do it!!!

          Hi Ducky, LVT and KAT, I'm with you on this one, I have the supps and they do work, I will be starting them again tomorrow ............

          How about we share our aims for the week (honest ones) ..........

          I realise that to some people this is still overdoing it, but considering the 3+ bottles a day that I used to drink i would be happy to achieve .....

          April 1st (Tues) AF
          April 2nd (weds) AF
          April 3rd (thurs) 2 glasses wine
          April 4th (Fri) 4 glasses wine
          April 5th (sat) 4 glasses wine
          April 6th (sun) 2 glasses wine
          April 7th (mon) AF

          Please join in guys then we can help each other along .......

            hey all, so nice to see that mods thread is back ! I was getting a bit nostalgic that no one was posting.

            where have you been boots?? missed ya.

            I have a plan as well for this month. eating healthy is number 1. doing a raw detox.

            and cutting down on the drink.

            it is similar to your BB
            I would like to stay AF on weekdays and only drink in the eve. on the weekends.

            let's see how far we can take this.

              Wow! Tomorrow is April Fools isn't it?

              This has felt like one of the longest winters in history...

              I'm soooo ready for a change of season!

              Doing suprisingly well on the Modding... don't know why,... I'm soo frustrated & pissed @ work lately, I can't wait to quit & start @ my new job! But that won't happen for another month or so...
              Just trying to be patient...

              I feel like I "should" be drinking like a fish... I always used to in times like this...
              Just haven't felt the need other than my usual few beers here & there...

              Maybe I'm just getting old! LOL

              PS...yep it has been quiet down here in mods land. I must admit, I kinda quit posting except in the private Forum for a while... after being cyber attacked by Sh*tcakes...I didn't really have the heart to come out & be "exposed" to that for a while...

                Hello Betty Boop, Trixietrack & St Jude, Betty, my goal is at least Mon-Thurs AF. Fri-Sat or Sunday no more that 3. I have the extra goal of weight loss this time. Trixietrack, what is raw detox ? St Jude, sometimes I am able to mod despite stress and sometimes not. I really have to say if we keep repeating our goals maybe some of it sticks. I agree on the long winter, thought it would never end. Best to you on your new job, maybe that is your motivation.

                  BB, glad to hear the supps help. I can't wait to receive mine. I have the kudzu so will take that alone until the rest of the stuff arrives.

                  I get scared to be too definitive w/r to goals because I am afraid to fail. I feel good if I can manage 2 AF days during the week and be mods (2-3 glasses) the rest. So that's what I will strive for. For me the main challenge is to keep busy. I tend to use AL to fill up my evenings.

                  BB, glad you are posting. Judie, glad to see you back as well. I know it's easy for me to say but try not to let anyone/thing get to you. There will always be someone you don't get along with and you guys are valued here.

                  Glad to see some posts today. Hope it continues!

                    Oh, and I would like to lose 15 pounds by my birthday, which is July 25th. Cutting back on my friend AL should help!

                      raw detox. you eat raw foods lots and lots of vegetables especially the green kind. you can also eat raw nuts and fruits. I stick to green leafy vegetables and fruits. Gives your system a break. skin looks great after a week of salads and nuts and juice.

                        Welcome back Betty B. I was really starting to miss the wardrobe changes! Saint also glad you're comfortable here again.
                        I am excited to get back in shape and to be eating healthier more of the time. Last winter I got rid of 10 excess pounds, and was walking 2-3 miles daily--this winter it all came back, and I've gotten soft again. It HAS been a long winter!! My goal this week is to be AF all week. I still tend to overdue it in social settings. I think I'm going to order the social cd. Has anyone else done that??:thanks:

                          Hi everyone, Good luck on everyone's goals. I am new and am thinking of cutting back myself. Didn't drink last night but am having a beer right now. Anyone here use Campral or anything else to cut back? Kinda upset myself. If your rich and drink bottles of wine a night 1 or 2 you are a conisurer sp? If you drink 6 beers a night your a drunk. I may choose not to drink every night but most of the time I choose to drink its 6 beers. All my family is in Mn and me in Az. My entire family drinks, I've never met a family that doesn't drink. Anyways I can't loose weight drinking this beer cause I am not active like I used to be. I just want to get it in my head I really need this. I am so glad I found this site just haven't found where I would fit in. I think this is it. Still trying to find my way around the site so hope to hear good news from all.

                            Hey Gemmy and welcome. Nope, if you drink too much you drink too much, whether it's fine wine or beer or vodka. Have you read the book? I have no experience with campral but i am sure others on the site can answer questions about that if you post under the just starting out section perhaps.

                              Glad you found your way to mods. My Way Out is a great place. Hope you've had a chance to order the book. It's free today, so if you haven't order it quickly! It's a great help. I re-read it yesterday after 3 months on the program, and still learned stuff!

                              Great thread today: thanks ducky for the inspiration and YAHOO everyone for posting: I've really been wanting a modster community (in case you couldn't tell from my hints.)

                              I'm in for a having a healthy spring . . . continue to try to lose weight (I'm in a "biggest losers" type of contest at work for another 5 weeks) so that's motivation to rack up those AF days, plus I've been doing Jenny Craig so long, I practically feel like I own the place, but I do well with the convenience and the food is good.

                              SO let's rally round and give it our best. My plan for the week is 4 AF days (Sun/Mon already done) and 3 drinking days with a total of 7 drinks total for the week. I know I'm out Sat night but don't know what other outings might arise. As a rule, I don't drink at home.

                              See you all tomorrow!
