I am not filling up with empty calories, I really need to get back in shape for the warmer weather. Plus, I don't feel like it as I am only drinking a couple of days a week and this isn't one of them

part of myself takes over, but this is just a thought, and I know from experience that
if I ride it out, the craving disappears.

One day one drink!

I stuck to one drink today! This feels like a miracle. I had been reading Byron Katie, whom I highly recommend. She has a website called The Work. Essentially her thrust is to help you not believe your thoughts. So along this line, thinking I have to have a drink is a thought, and today I was able to say no, that's not true, I don't have to follow that thought. It feels great that I won't wake up angry at myself.

Alcohol is a great drug----it's the side effects that are so awful.
