I will not drink today because it is an emotional rollercoaster of sadness, anger and resentment for probably no really good reason, just withdrawals. I don't want to use alcohol as an escape anymore from my real emotions.

I will not drink today because after a long winter, it is beautiful here today and if I drink, I will waste a wonderful day that I can enjoy every minute of, and accomplish anything I want to....whether it be working or playing. If I drink, then I can't. Plain and simple. I need to make up for lost time. There have been WAY too many weekends in the last 3 years that I didn't enjoy because I was drinking.
