Well, I did drink today although I didn't want to. But I won't drink tomorrow because my girls didn't like the smell of alcohol on my breath when I tucked them into bed tonight.

I will not drink today because I don't want to give that bad arsed monster the power to change my personality, make me feel stink, cause me to accept crap in my life, cause my son to look at me with sadness and my grand-daughter with confusion, make me grumpy, lazy, not eat well, take risks with my safety, neglect my house and garden, neglect my friendships, reduce the standard of my work, stop me concentrating . . . and thats just for starters. I haven't mentioned anxiety, depression, guilt, fear etc etc etc.

I will not drink today because yesterday I choose to drink past my established limit(two drinks)

I had one beer, mixed a second 1/2 and 1/2 with non alcoholic beer, as per my game plans. (Control have been going well sine Nov. 13) Yesterday howerver an illogical voice inside, made it acceptable to have two rum and eggnogs after this. (....just to use up the left over Christmas Eggnog...ya right)
This resulted in a definite buzz but fortunately I had dinner ready by this time so that was the end of the drinks.

Reality is; I still need to be monitoring myself at all the times.
Rightly or wrongly, I am using the rational that a beer with my husband is a treat at the end of the day.
The logical consequence of drinking today's treat, yesterday;is there is no treat for today.
Can't "have your cake" and eat it to. Going with a non alcoholic beer with a twist of lime tonight.
