    What to Drink When Modding?

    I haven't tried it yet but saw the commercial.

    MGD 64 has only 2.8 % AL

    Other light beers have 4 - 4.5 %


    The question is do we want quantity over quality? or quality over quantity? Maybe it depends on the situation. I don't know.


    Please comment if you have an opinion. I'm still trying to formulate my opinion.

    I think more moderate drinkers prefer quality over quantity. The alcohol is better quality, less toxic to your body. I'm not familiar with this product, haven't had beer in a long time.
    My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

      I don't substitute a "light" drink for a heavier one. To me, a drink is a drink. I'm a wine drinker so, for example, say I drink a wine spritzer (wine with club soda) with half the wine I would normally drink, instead of a full glass of wine.

      I still count that as one drink. My brain won't know the difference at this point. It just says "alcohol!" so, for me, one drink is one drink.

        it's nice to know you can actually have a drink even a beer with only 2.8% alcohol; ok, so i have to ask is that YOU in that picture changemylife, or only how you'd like to look?

          Always quality over quantity...

          Always, always , always !!!
          I drink less than I do in my non modding days...alot less.
          I'm civilized now,
          I'm spending less money on a daily basis;
          so when it's time to drink;
          I drink only the best.
          It's better to have a sip of the finest,
          than a gallon of piss; and as Sun mentioned there are chemicals, stabilizers, enhancers
          and other ingredients in cheap products that are TOXIC
          and give you a worse hangover...

              Moderation means drinking less but better!

                I just bought a non-alcoholic wine tonight by Ariel and let me share with you all- its terrible! Don't waste your money. I'm glad I also bought a bottle of Perrier.

                  I've never understood how you get non AL wine -- surely it's just grape juice?

                      I've had the non-al beer - O'Douls Amber Light - and I think it's quite nice!
                      I guess I like the social thing of drinking so for me to put a cranberry/seltzer in a wine glass or drink an O'Douls in a beer mug gives me that feeling of drinking without paying the price of the hangover or doing something I regret.

                        There are some real good NA Beers but there is no such thing as good NA wine. Kaliber by guiness is good. Also becks makes a good NA

                          I have been drinking lemon, lime and bitters, and I'm quite happy with that. I am astonished at how long I have been modding - since early Feb, almost a month. Unheard of for me, after 20 odd years of getting a thorough soaking most nights.

                          Its only thanks to this forum too and a tad of determination.

                            They are too tasty and way too expensive to get sloshed on.

                              I'm with you Terri... lemon lime and bitters is my "claytons drink"! It's so refreshing.
