Whoop De Doo - I'm starting a thread!!! Well, had the nice meal and ONE bottle of extremely nice Chardonnay (thanks Asda, pats back pocket - only UK muffins will get that bit, ha ha!) After dinner sat down and watched a bit of "mindless" as my husband calls Friday night TV and guess what:wow: I'm still sipping the second glass, look at the clock and it's just after 11:00pm - never before in the history of mankind....etc, etc!!!

Okay, have a good Saturday, my cunning plan has worked so far, Baldrick!! Hope everyone is okay - I am a happy wee ferret today!:h :happy:

I get it ! Well done You must be thrilled.

Am also feeling pleased with myself this morning. Went out for a meal with partner and the usual suspects for the first time in ages last night. Before starting Mods/Abs I would usually sneak a BIG glass (or even out of the bottle ) before we left, make sure I got plenty during the meal and continue when we get home.

But last night....I left home AF, and only had 2 glasses of Merlot with my meal...even said No to getting another bottle...Words you'd never have heard even 2 weeks ago.

I'm going back to AF now as I'm not buying it to have in the house...

I agree Congrats! Sounds likes a successuful evening. Not much on the calendar of events today here. It's rainy and the temp is dropping quickly. One of those "keep it inside days".

Not Powerless, it's gloomy here too.

I woke up this morning to a dark room at 8:30 in the morning and a hangover.

I had been AF four days last week and then gave myself permission to drink last night and tonight.

Needless to say I overindulged.....I started drinking much earlier than I should have.

When will I learn!

I am doing so much better than I was before coming to MWO and I am thankful at least for that.

Anyway I have to work tonight so I can't drink until about 10pm which will help me with the starting too early.

When I was not drinking last week I really enjoyed sleeping well and waking up refreshed! I kept my drinking time busy with cleaning cupboards in the kitchen, so I also enjoyed getting some work done around here too.

Totally understand Rachele. When we go AF for a few days we have to remember we cannot drink our "usual" amount. That is the tough thing, for me anyhow, about moderating. Please bring back the colorful, dizzying avatar. These elephant butts or whatever they are do not capture the essence of you! Or do they?

Tartan and Pebbles, excellent job on the moderating. Nothing better than waking up with a clear head.

Getting my house more and more organized which is such a relief to me. I feel a cleaning frenzy coming on so when I am in the mood for it I gotta take advantage of it.

Mornin' all! I'm just trying to wake up, after a wild night of chattin w/ a bunch of crazy Aussies till 3:3o this morning... "Haven't had that much fun ... since the hogs ate my little brother":H

Looking like a beautiful sunny day here. Maybe the rest of the snow will finally melt. It is pretty though, and the dogs seem to enjoy it, even though there's not enough to ski in or anything. Definately still some slippery spots on the road.

Glad to hear that everyone is doing OK, Can't believe how long it takes to catch up on threads these days, there is soooo much going on .....

Day 13 AF for me, been shopping today and bought a new suede jacket with the money that i've saved, and I have to admit that i'm feeling pretty good .....

I'm set for a AF evening. I have one of the shocking headaches everyone has at the moment...is it being more AF than I've been in 20+ years , is it a virus going round, or is it Topa ?

Going to have a hot bath and early night...on a Saturday. And I'm looking forward to my comfy bed!

Yep Lush it was fun. I coudn't believe all the night owls last night! I thought I was theonly one up. I got on the stairmaster for a while then checked chat & ran into Weemelon... then before ya know it Tawny showed up, and Blondie, and Rez, a whole crew ! They were still going when I forced myself away!

Tumadre....? are ya sleeping in?


PS it was 8:30 pm in Oz & New Z, and Tawny was talkin about bed, so I decided maybe I should try it...
