I was reading under "what we're reading" and have just ordered Dry and Drinking: A Love Story from Amazon.com. I am in the middle of reading a book I stumbled upon at Wal-Mart called Smashed. Anyone ever heard of it?
It's a very hard book for me to read because it is so depressing. But it's like I can't put it down. It is incredibly well written by a 23 year old woman and it's her account of her drinking problem that began at age 14. It scares me for my own children and issues they'll face, especially since they have a mother that they see drink. It's a bit of a wake up call....
and it's not pleasant...
but it's needed.
