Welcome!
Blondecutie,
welcome:welcome: to this site.
We are all here for the same reason and there are so many lovely good people, who do not judge you, but have a lot of good advise and everyone really cares about you.
Is there no adult, perhaps a school councillor? Do you have a family Dr. that you trust?
Please stay with us and let us know how you are doing.

Hi Blondiecutie! So wise of you to seek some help and to be aware of your habit...there is absolutely no doubt that you'll be able to nip this thing in the bud..especially since you are so young! I agree with the others about seeking some support from an adult. Your school counselor should be able to point you in the right direction. Becoming aware is a HUGE part of the solution! A few things you can try until you can get some guidance are: First, let your drinking friends know that you would like to stop and ask them if they can support you by not encouraging you to join them. If that is too much, you may have to avoid those friends for a while. Perhaps you can seek some friends out that don't party..you may a youth group at a church..if you aren't religious, you may consider trying a non-denominational church (Unity is one of them in U.S.) A youth minister would be a great help. Second, try to find a replacement for the drinking..replacing a habit with a new one is helpful. Chew gum, drink club soda, find a hobby or a craft. Keep asking for help and know that people stop drinking after decades of drinking so you will certainly be able to if you REALLY want to. Good luck dear! You will be fine!

Oh, we are so happy you have come here to this site for help. You have a family here. I have a son who is 13 (14 in April) and I would really want to know if he had a problem as you do. You should try to talk with someone about this before you hurt yourself in the future. Your family will help you and they do care. If you can't talk with them you should atleast talk to someone close to you. Good luck to you and I am here anytime to help you out.

Hi Blondiecutie
:welcome: to MWO.
It's really hard that you have no one that you can talk to, but you will find that MWO is a family in itself. I feel that having an adult outside would be of a great help to you. Could you not confide in your mum? Please do keep things bottled up, in fear of being judged. Anytime you want to share something, no matter how big or small, please feel free to do so and trust that no one will judge you and any advise given will be because we all care. You will get advise from people who understand how alcohol can take control over your life.

You've taken the first step in the right direction blondecutie.........
Keep coming back!
