LOL E! Actually, I usually do pretty good with the kids. It's the big A-holes that I get in the most trouble with!:H

I did make $33 per hr last night with my wage & tip combined... some people pay money for that kind of workout.... (and I logged in 6 mi., while packing a lot of plate weights) Power walkin'

Hi all

Just a quick check in...kinda tough day here. My niece, as many of you know, has been having a rough go. She got re-admitted to the hospital today....for those who don't know her story, she is 20, and battling a bad cancer for a few years...she recently had surgery to remove her spleen....anyway, she was (we thought) on the mend..but, she apparently is not...throwing up, fever, back pain...so, they are trying to figure out why. They have ruled out infection from surgery, looking into the problem. We are praying it isn't the cancer. She is so young. She is also an amazing young woman. So, this is really hard.

Pray for her, please...

If you knew her, you would be amazed by her strength...she is funny, brilliant, and caring...really a gift to all of us. No one deserves this, but certainly not this wonderful young girl, not her.

Hope all of you have had a brighter day.

I can relate. I also believe that the subtle bullying or the downright emotional blackmail NEVER stops. Lines like "you better come and see me because you'll regret it once I'm gone" have been hurled at me for the last 20 years! Mother is now 83. She still has all her marbles but has become totally egocentric. It's all about her, no matter how much the rest of us have to bend to fit in around her.

I agree with E. Hold your ground. We're actually old enough now to say "No". Without feeling guilty. I love my old mum but there are days when I don't like her. At all.

Go and enjoy your favourite B & B with your man ... and whatever else happens, happens.
