Hello Aussies , yes so hot here today and yesterday! Im new ish to this site... this week and a new immegrant... 3 years. a goll dern yank....Im enjoying this site and being aboe to talk and hear about everyones " challenges" ( corporate speak) I go for hypno tonight, Ive been almost AF for two weeks now4 drinks in all and on Naltrexone. wondering if anyone else is using that, and for how long. I can only get a prescription for two months.
stay cool, pray for rain inw some parts and moderation of rain in others, were headed over to twonsvilles in two weeks, think it will have drained off by then??

Hello all
I am in the middle of cleaning/doing laundry - not a big football fan - but I thought I would check in. Day 2 only of AF for me. I blew it and drank on Friday (didnt go overboard but still drank and I wanted to be AF) but I have decided to just ride the AF train for a while and see how long I can go. I know I have said that before but I really want to just commit myself to AF for a period and go with it. I am upping to 150 mg of topa (I have not been staying consistent and I am not as high as I should be at this point) and am making some other lifestyle changes too which I have not been doing and which I think are important as well (joining a gym tomorrow and really commiting to not seeing certain people for a while). For me, the people I associate with is a huge hurtle. Hubby has committed to total AF as well and has also agreed that certain people are not good to be associating with right now and supports me 100%.
Oh, and what do you think of the new avator?

Today was a VERY long day with the kids..we went to reserve my son's bday party at Parrot Jungle Island, out to lunch, Barnes and Noble for some serious shopping, the late Mass, the grocery store and then to a Super Bowl party. I ducked out early now, I'm home. We worked on homework, PJs, brushed teeth a few minutes on the computer until I plan out tomorrow...love to all...

OK, you're not gonna believe this... My Hubby didn't want to believe it either...
But after painting baseboards all day, and being in a hurry, so I wouldn't be late for our date, ...(I didn't bother to put on knee pads doing the base boards, because I didn't want to take the time...) My painting pants are VERY broken in, as are knees, kinda like (fashionably not there), but not from a real fashion standpoint: just from me being on my knees painting.

I have rug burns on my knees! I need to slow down if I'm gonna work for an hourly wage!... GeeZ! Thank God it's not summer & I didn't look goofy wearing stockings out to dinner! My knees are bright red!:H

I've gotta start charging more $$$!



Oh yeah, they offfered me a job at the restaurant where we had dinner. It's a really nice place,(nothing to do with the knees!)... Actually right next door to where I work already, just very different dining experience. Something to think about ...I could do both for a while and then decide...

Although they do split tips at this place, not always a good thing, I've found, for me. Depends so much on who you work with, not a lot of people have been doing it for 30 odd years & still have a sense of humor about it...
