Well, I am feeling somewhat better today. Though hubby continued to piss me off last night by trying to snoop into my email. What an idiot. Anyways, can you guys believe that Anna Nicole Smith died? How weird is that!!!!
Day 7 AF for me. Feeling very strong today.

Good morning everybody!! Hope all are doing well! Jen, glad things are going better. Lush, hope you are feeling up today. Mike, hope all is going well for you -- noticed you haven't been around as much lately. Hope it is because you are having the time of your life!!!! You deserve it!!! As usual, I have the radio show today and then preparation for Shabbot, so won't be around much until at least Sunday. Will try to stop by if I can.

For both parents and teachers of school-aged children, if you would like them to have direct interaction with political leaders, I found the neatest site. Its Ask the White House I work with an association promoting green schools and had to go there yesterday. It was really cool for the kids. (Environmental section). They get to ask questions through an internet online chat. They had children 4 years old asking questions and getting answers. They also had some teens and adults too. But I would think that some kids would really be thrilled to participate -- just passing it on.

Jen..Glad you are in a better place today. You should be sooo proud of yourself. Just keep on keeping on...Hubby's can be difficult...but you just keep doing the right thing, and eventually he will catch on...takes those men a little longer...(sorry mike ). I am so proud of you.

Sorry it is sooo cold for so many of you..I won't share our weather here in Florida because that would be just cruel

Hi everyone. Today I am in mourning over the loss of data. As some of you know, my laptop was stolen last week. "No worries", I thought because I back up my computer on a regular basis with my memory stick. Yesterday when I went to transfer my data into my new laptop I couldn't open up any files. I thoght it was some kind of glitch and still didn't worry about it. What I was doing was saving the shortcuts to my documents without actually saving the documents themselves. Be warned those of you using memory sticks that simply dragging "My Documents" icon onto the stick does not save anything! Now two years of work are gone along with my calander, pictures, everything. Just my address book alone was over 12 pages. :upset: Today I'm making a list (using old fashion paper and pen) of everything I lost to start investigating what other people might have pieces of it on their computers. I actually cried last night when I realized what I had done. I am such an organized, on top of it kind of person that I was really thrown through a loop that I had done something so stupid and that it was all really gone! My hubby then proceeds to tell me a tale about how he lost a spreadsheet that he had worked on for three months and how he got over it and moved on. Why does he think "one uping me" on my loss is going to make me feel better?

Anyway, this weekend is the "Autism Speaks" walk. I will be walking with the whole family for my nephew Michael. He just turned 14 and is a beautiful, loving boy but, unfortuately will probably never be able to live on his own. I will also be walking for all of those families here who have been touched with Autism...Fan, Beaches and HappyCamper...

The weather here is sunny and a comfortable 78 F so come on down guys....I'll play hooky and we can all go boating!

Oh, PP, I am soo sorry to hear about your laptop. I am so computer illiterate I cannot even imagine what you are going through!! When I had an appointment in Malibu last year, Kinkos program caused my system to crash on my laptop and it took me three weeks solidly working on the phone with experts to get it back. Some of it was lost and I was nuts!!! I am so sorry you have to go through this.

One idea, if you suspect you know who stole it, you might approach him, tell him that you will not turn him in or take the computer back; you just want to retrieve your data. Its a long shot, but it might be worth a try. I don't know your relationship with the patient. Good luck

PP, the walk sounds wonderful!! It reminds, though, has anyone heard from PaulW lately?

PP good for you for doing this walk for Autism - I am sure your family, as well as the members on this forum will appreciate it. I think its fantastic.
As for the loss of data, this must be so frustrating!!! We try to do things to stay organized/on top of things and then in a moment, its gone. I can understand how frustrating that would be. All your hard work...
I am sorry your husband thought it would be appropriate to compare it something he went through and said he "moved on". Men! Sorry fan, I am sure we do it too, but men (well, let me clarify - my hubby, is p'ing me off right now). So let me be specific. One MAN is really annoying!
I am trying to get work done today but once again I am distracted. I dont know what is wrong with me, other than the fact that I am bored, uninspired and completely unmotivated at work! Thank God for you guys!

PP, that is such a bad story and I would have cried too. I am sorry for that and tell your husband to cram it. Yours too Jen!!! Please have any of your husbands call me when they are being irritating. I am very good at putting them in their place!

Jude, where are you? You have us worried again....

Okay, so my daughter does not have school today. Did it snow here? No. Did we have another big windstorm? No. Her school is closed because 40% of the students and teachers have the flu and the Dept. of Health required us to shut the doors!! How bizarre is that? They also closed a high school here for three days this week because over 200 students were out sick. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Very bizarre.

Jen, I am glad you are feeling so strong in your AF days. I hope that will be my mindset soon. I tried to come onto chat last night to tell you to clean out your PMs (AGAIN!!!!!!) but chat was being very weird. It would not let me type fast and when I hit enter only 1/2 the time would it show up on the screen. I got so frustrated I did not keep trying to log in. So please hon clean out your PMs.

PP - so sorry about losing your data, I hope you get some of it back from others. It's scary how much of our lives are saved in computer files; I will be backing up my files today.

Betty - I know it's still days away, but please remember to tell us about your vacation when you get back - your anticipation is infectious, and I really would love a vacation right now but will settle for hearing about yours!

Lush and Mary, thanks for the encouragement yesterday.

I'm a little nervous about this weekend as I plan to be AF and my husband will be away, the first time we will be apart since I started MWO. It makes me think I'm doing this for him more than myself, that when he goes away I feel less motivated to do what's good for me. I know I can do it, so that's what I'll do.

Jen, keep up the good work, and send me some of your energy please!
