Good Morning Everyone,

Woke up to a lot of snow this morning and I think most of the upper half of the US is getting the same thing. By the end of if tomorrow we are looking at 3 feet. Wow.

Hope everyone has a nice day and I just want to say that I really got a lot out of everyone's stories yesterday and hope that all who are struggling are feeling a little better.

That's about where I am right now. Being offered early retirement and then having to negotiate the rearranging of my assets with my brother and mother involved has pulled up all kinds of wounds for me. I'm depressed and consuming alcohol almost at the rate I did last year. I usually exercise in the early morning, but I just couldn't make myself do it today. It's like my head is stuffed with sadness. I can see myself from the outside, and I feel stupid and foolish. I should be excited about all this, but at the moment, I feel paralyzed.

I wish that I could take your pain from you right now and take your sadness. I so feel for you. I wish I could give you a hug. You are not stupid and you are not foolish. You are just having to deal with your family that has issues and they are beating you down. You know that you can be stronger than them, you haven proven to yourself in the past that you can be stronger. Soon you will prove to yourself that you can be again. Gosh I wish I could help you more.

I am so sorry that everyone seems to be feeling so blue. Fan thanks for the lovely flowers - you are such a sweetheart.
Everyone, remember that February is a really really tough month - its known that its the month where people tend to feel at the height of depression, the blues, the blahs etc. So let's stick together and try to ride this through. No one here is a failure and no one here is going to fail, as long as I am around. So, let's assess what is going on. Are you guys taking all the supps and vitamins? Are you doing the CD's? COuld it be the winter/Feb blahs? Let's assess assess assess what is going on. If I am annoying, tell me to go away. I just want to help though...

Jen, did you read my comments on yesterday's thread about your new avatar? I completely agree Jan/Feb are brutal months for the blues, esp. where I live because it is always so gray and rainy. I agree with you that I hope we all stick together, no matter if you are drinking too much or not. I get so sad when the muffs leave out of shame or guilt. Not one of us here is perfect.

And I posted these on another thread yesterday, but did anyone hear about the guy who bought his fiance a beachfront home for V day and somehow managed to get it wrapped in wrapping paper??? Unreal. I am sure I will have a similar story to share with you tomorrow once I see what my husband gets me......................

Fan, thanks for asking and yes I think I am doing pretty well lately. I've been reading a lot of posts especially the new people and they have really been reminding me of where I started and how far I have come. I was in such a tough place when I started here. It just feels nice to be able to actually offer words of encouragement when once I was the one always begging for them. Don't get me wrong there are times when I end up back there in full force and am sure I will again. But for now I feel pretty good.

Lush I am sure your husband will get you something much more spectacular than a wrapped beachfront home. Much more spectacular.

I think the kids are excited about the trip to Hilton Head this weekend. I don't think they have any clue what they are in for with the drive though. That's why we are hoping they will sleep most of it away. The ride back home will be a different story.
