Afternoon Muffs!
Wow Di! Those pictures bring tears to my eyes... cant wait to do that again someday too; hopefully with a new ring to boot. You are very beautiful. My husband married my "ready made family" as well, so my oldest are almost grown, although we do have a little one together. Fifteen years is awesome! (I guess 17 now).

Hello to everyone else... by the time I finish reading and post its hard to remember everything, but sounds like most are off to a great week. Mike and Hawk, hope the beauty of the snow warms your heart. Its hard to believe such vast differences in weather and yet we cant be that terribly far apart.

I went to lunch with a good friend and she told me you "have to wear shorts" today because it is so warm outside. So I did and it felt great until we sat outside in the shade at a little cafe on the beach. The breeze about killed me! So we each got a glass of wine to warm up a bit, which is NUTS for me because I rarely ever drink during the day, much less a Monday! Now I am sleepy and just want to take a nap... all from one glass of wine. Why cant it do that to me at night?

Beth, Terri looks lonely without you... lol. Speaking of which... I got a new kitty! (My other one was hit a few weeks ago). She is beautiful and has the best disposition of any cat I've ever had. I got her at the Humane Society on Friday, and had purposed that I didnt care how ugly the cat was that I got, I just wanted it to have a great disposition and in need of a good home. This cat literally picked "me" and everytime I walked past her cage, her little white paws were reaching around to try and grab me as if to say, "Please dont leave me here!" She is beautiful to boot.... long hair "tortie" looking. She is now curled up on my feet purring like there is no tomorrow. She has me wrapped around her finger already. Or paw.

Setting good goals for myself this week. AF through Wednesday as others of you, (with the exception of my one glass at lunch today) and then two to three glasses Thursday and possibly an AF weekend again. It was actually not too bad without it, although I did have a couple last night.

A new kitty Ali... I am so jealous. Not that I need another cat, I already have two, but I love them so much. My dog and my husband would both have a fit. Just another Monday here, lots of new snow on the ground and lots of paperwork on my desk. Hope everyone has a great day.

Friday, I totally messed around with AF / mods and actually I was quite aware I would be doing this. I think psychologically I have been having my absolute fill of being so darn self controlled! Watched women at Friday's networking drink huge glasses of wine, one after another and felt like damn, I won't even go there but where is my treat?!! I intentionally bought a fifth of rum with a nod to drinking all of it this weekend. I shared it with hubby but made a huge dent Friday night . . . .like daily stuff of a year ago. God was I feeling sick on Saturday morning. Was so hungover. NOW I remember that gross feeling. Couldn't even think of drinking on Saturday.

Still, I found out I LIKE being AF a lot. Isn't that a weird place to be in my head though . . .chasing the buzz, lets be bad, etc? It was all a mental thing because I have been fighting this "sick of being good feeling" for some time now. I just wanted to feel all that again. YECH, better not to.

We have totally blue sky with a hint of spring coming all day today! Can't wait!!

MKR- The mental thing is always what gets me. A lot of good posts today about getting over that. Rum is also my poison. I had too much over the weekend and felt terrible as well. Sun I was useless but then did the "hair of the dog" thing to get over it at night and ended up back in the same place.
Much better today. I like hearing all the positives...gives me some strength.

HI all
Just a quick quick post to say I am ok. I have really been unable to check in today because my work has been awamped and had SO much catching up to do. Plus we have hired another lawyer and she was pretty much in my office the whole day so I couldnt log on. And, as you guys know I dont really check in on the weekends...so I am alive and well. Just unable to post today as I usually do on Mondays!!
I will check in tomorrow and give a more detailed response...Luschy darling, love you - thanks for the PM!!!
We are probably going to put an offer on the house in this week. I will download some pics and try to post them tomorrow night!
Gotta get to bed though.
