    Sunday!

    Hi all,

I haven't been in touch this week because I needed to spend a lot of time with my 9 year old. He had a pretty bad week and we needed to spend some extra mommy and me time together. In between that, I had to paint back drops from my other son's 1st grade play. It's Jack and the Bean Stock. He's a Giant, it should be great fun next Thursday night.

Fan, I'm sorry you have been sick and the play sounded great, I hope you got a lot of video.

Sending my good wishes and thoughts to all of you today.

    Love ya,
    Laura

P.S. Lush, I'll PM you later, I have to go throw baseballs to my little up and coming baseball stars.

          Sunday!

Thanks Nancy, something to think about!

Haven't checked in for a day or so but have been moderating pretty well. Have to admit it's been tough after a stressful day at work and wanting a glass of wine but I've been able to overcome it, (thankfully) and thanks to all your support.

I wish you all a terrific day and hope you all know how absolutely wonderful you are!:thanks:

            Sunday!

            Hi all-

Fan your son is one amazing child...as is your daughter. But I think I am forever amazed at how much we can learn from those who see the world differently than the rest. There is so much in there, and we have so much to learn from these precious souls...That moment in the bathroom must have been wonderful for you (as much as a throwing up moment can be wonderful lol).

On another note, I have realized that my drinking is soooo psychological for me, and I really don't have much in the way of real cravings...just head trips, as I have mentioned here. Well, today, I was out in the afternoon, and did not buy any alcohol. We had plans to go to this couples house for dinner, and I knew I would not be drinking there (kids would be with us, and I don't drink in front of them anymore). I knew if I did not buy anything, I would be stuck without any alcohol for the evening. Anyway, I came home, and had one final opportunity to go out prior to leaving for our evening dinner plans....we needed to get a gift to bring with us. I made the decision then and there to get myself some alcohol..."in case I need it later in the evening"....well, my hubby decided to come with me to get the gift....so....I lost that chance....well, guess what. We went for dinner, had a nice time, came home, and now at 9pm, I am fine....Absolutely fine. wow. one day AF. No cravings. Nothing...No promises for tomorrow, but...it is soooo obvious to me that this is a stupid head trip.

Anyway, just thought I would share that. Prayers go out to all with medical difficulties (including my own loved ones) and those with other difficulties as well. I hope you all had a decent weekend. I enjoyed at least some of the eclipse...pretty cool.

            Love to all.

              Sunday!

              Hi Beth,
I agree, I think most of my issues are "head trips" as well. It's nice to see you were able to beat it and go AF.
