Okay let's try again with the right date.

Sorry guys Ilex wasn't here to start us off with some great title. So back to the boring date for now.

Everything is shut down around us due to a state of emergency and blowing snow. Of course I didn't realize that so here I am at work. Surprised the police officer I passed didn't stop me. Probably too cold for them to get out of their car to deal with the random driver.

It was a long night last night. My toddler decided at 12:30 it was time to get up and play. That lasted to about 3:45 this morning. UGH If I would attempt to doze off he'd pull my hair, squeeze my nose (and say nose) or poke my eyes (and say eye). Then if I didn't give him enough attention he'd walk on me. I am just very happy that I only had 2 glasses of wine last night so I feel fine this morning.

Morning Beaches, sounds to me like you have a cute toddler, sorry it is funny about the eye and nose thing and the walk on you thing. I am giggling right now. Hope you have an easy day and hopefully the little one sleeps for you tonite. Going to work myself for a while today.

Hi everyone -

Another full day here (big surprise....). The wind here last night was so powerful - a bit scary as there are enormous trees all around my house. When I say enormous, I mean like 70-100 feet tall. They are huge. This morning my lawn is littered with logs - some call them branches, but they truly are logs. The gas grill blew across the deck and the cover was at the end of the street. And its really friggin cold!!!

Warm thoughts to everyone here and good wishes for a peaceful, productive day. Special vibes to Gypsi. Thinking of you.

Beaches, wonderfully fun way to start the day. Sorry you are so tired. Toddlers are just so incredibly fun even when they are night owls! Glad you only had two glasses of wine and could stay up with him. Definitely go home . . .NOW!!

Rocky and Sammy's hey nice to see you here! wish I was on that beach also but I have no complaints about our weather.

Hawk, that is a scary storm. Do you have a fireplace for your logs strewn through the yard? I lived through a few hurricanes but Hugo 1989, was a category 5, took my studio and houses on both side of us. To this day, when the wind kicks up a bit, I can't stand the sound of it, I just get so nervous.

MM, glad to hear you got the site up and sounds like you are moving forward on it past the speed of light!

Well, last night really made me realize how much (sorry guys - men) - hormones have an impact on my cravings. I really find that right before my "time of the month", my hormones really make me crave drinks!! That and hunger- hunger or thirst really seem to bring out craving too - if I am hungry, this seems to have a major impact as well. If I eat, this seems to calm things down, which I discovered last night. I had cravings last night (which is rare for a Monday) and the only thing I could attribute it to is the exitement of getting this house coupled with hormones from that time of the month and general hunger/thirst....but i fought it off (reluctantly) by having a nice dinner, a latte and a bath. It just really shows how much food/hormones really effect our cravings!! But I was still discouraged about feeling that way on a Monday night. I mean, a Friday night - fine. But a Monday? Argh. Oh well ,I guess its everything all together right?

Hey everyone!
Jenneh, it's not uncommon at all to crave alcohol right before your period. I had documented my binges before I went back to Abs and they always were one week before. I've also read in numerous places, that this can happen. This morning I looked at the calendar, and low and behold..one week before and I did drink last night..the accumulated events of the week didn't help..I just had no resolve. I'm hungover this morning, but beginning to feel better..

Plus, you have done awesome on the AF and I know you can do whatever you set your mind to. You will do whatever it is you set out to accomplish, whether the ultimate goal be AF or mods, I know. Beaches I have to laugh in sympathy!! My toddler has been going through this "getting up to play" around midnight too and it lasts until about 3am. She does the exact same..... pokes my eye (says eye) walks on me when I am trying to dose off etc... I am laughing sorry - not at you, just how they are... I hope you have a better sleep tonight!

my grandchildren spent the weekend with us. Ali, the four year old, was sitting on my bed, not so patiently waiting for me to finish reading my book. She says to me, "Grandmama, you are getting old, I don't want you to get old", then she said, "I want you to be pretty'...then she said, 'you aren't 'real' old"...she then asked, "when you are old, will you still be the Queen?" I said, "of course, I'll always be the queen!" :0P

Thank you Dilayne for sharing your thoughts yesterday and today. You have done so well with the program and the effort you have put into your life and your marriage has been an inspiration to many of us. I?m sorry you have a bit of a hangover, but I?m sure it?s nothing like you might have had in the past. And we all know Queens only get better with age. :l

Jenneh, as for the hormones, I?m right with you. It?s not a coincidence my last 2 bingesbreakdowns were both 4 days before my period started. I try to be very careful of how much I drink during that time of the month.

Beaches and Accountable, I remember those days. I can?t tell you how many times I read ?How to help your child sleep through the night? I was spoiled with my first son; he slept through the night at 4 months. My second son was almost 2 before I could get him to sleep at a regular time and then we still had to keep a baby gate at the top of the stairs because I never knew if he was going to get up in the middle of the night. He?s almost 7 now and he still startles me about once a week by standing by my bed or poking me in the shoulder when I?m sleeping.
