    Satisfactory Saturday

    Good Morning Muffs!

How did you survive Friday. Mine was OK. I think there may be something to the kudzu!. I know you all already know that.

Last spring when I was here I was taking topa & it so overwhelmed me I could not decipher the affects of the supps. I like the idea that MWO is about finding ones own way out by mix & matching the various tools.

Maybe this should be "Chrysa Stating the Obvious Saturday".

It is a very grey dreary day here on the N-East coast. Have the best day you can Muffs!!

        Well Done Chrys ......

Optimist, what a lovely welcome ....

E - thanks for kind comments yesterday, Some of Kerrie's seizure go into something called status epilepticus, which means that they don't stop on their own which can be dangerous. We are feeling a lot better about things now though, got over the initial shock of the possibility of more surgery.

Hugs to you all, my wonderful wonderful friends :l :l :l

Well I am a bozo and did not see this thread and started another one. How did I miss this?

Yes, Chryssa totally agree about the kudzu. It is good stuff.

E - good to see you around again.

Optimist - hope no bottles chase you either!

Boop, glad to hear you are feeling better with your daughter's situation. Nothing about it is easy.

To everyone else, have a wonderful Saturday. Got a lot on my plate as well.....

            Hello everyone,
Well, last night was not great..husband and I have been sharing a large bottle of wine, and I guess that would not be considered moderation. I did just start taking the supps again today..I filled up my pill box, so we shall see. I also am telling my sister about the program, hoping she will check it out. Poor thing has had a hysterectomy this year, an emergency surgery which removed about 2' of colon (due to scar tissue from the hysterectomy) and having lots of problems with all of that..she's going through a divorce and unfortunately is drinking way too much, which definitely isn't helping anything..so say a little prayer for her, if you would.

It's warm here in Georgia..I was going to work in the garden, but may have to wait until tomorrow..catching up on housework today..and unfortunately, nursing a headache from last night. :0(

Happy Birthday Laura..I missed it yesterday.

Paula, glad to hear you are doing better.

            Hi to everyone else!

              Mornin' Ya'll!
Just having a lazy one here so far. It's not raining yet, but it's supposed to be later so I need to get my butt on my bike before it starts.
It felt good to be back to work last night.
I did make it 5 days AF this week! But last night (being day 6) I broke down & had 3 beers after work. I feel OK about it. I had entertained the idea of going abs for longer, but even with 2 trips to in-patient re-hab under my belt...(21 days each) I've never been able to atain more than 37 days...
So I think to be completly honest with myself, moderation has worked(for the most part) really well for me for over a year now. I just NEED to be VERY diligent, and listen to my own voice, rather than allow myself to get upset on the homefront... I know it's easier said than done, but something that's healthy in more ways than one.

              Ok enough rambling...

              Betty I sent you a PM. :h

Great to see you E! Watch out for those martinis! I made the mistake of trying a lemon drop a few years back. Very dangerous! They taste like liquid candy...and ya feel so good....(for a while!) Till later!

Chrysalis, glad the kudzu is helping. I like the L-glut a lot too.

Optimist, don't work too hard, I'll try & do the same. Actually I woudn't mind being a bit busier tonight than last night...I need to catch back up!

              Good day to ALL!

so, dumb question here because I probably know the answer, but guess I need to hear other's perspectives....how much wine is too much wine if you are only drinking twice a week? 1/2 a bottle? a whole bottle? It's hard to go by the glass since I have a variety of wine glass sizes. What is your moderation limit?
Thanks for anyone's tips...I do know the moderation management recommendation and do hold to that..I just want to hear some real moderator's versions.

Judie, you should be tooting your own horn baby!!! 5 days is awesome. Hope you get your bike ride in. The rains are already coming down here.

Di, my limits are higher than most I am sure, but I see nothing wrong with 4 glasses of wine (small bottle of wine with my glasses), esp., if I have gotten AF days in during the week. I figure it all sort of averages out. But again it comes down to what you are comfortable with and how it makes you feel. I will be wishing the best for your sister too and hope she will check out MWO and find some value in it for her.

                      :l Hi all,

Dianne, I count a 75cl bottle as 6 glasses. I think 3 of my glasses ( half a bottle) is fine and still consider it moderating if I have a can of beer too.

However, once I start that third glass, if more is available, I usually continue to 6 or even 7 glasses which I consider too many.

My maximum now is about half of what I used to drink before I found this site. But I am still not where I want to be.

I have been a run today. The first since my back was sore at Christmas.

Chrysaliss, optimist, Eustacia, Betty, Lusch and Jude, so lovely to see you.

Love to you and all those to come

                        Hi everyone.
Just getting a chance to check in. My husband took over my computer to do our taxes today. It was supposed to be sunny and beautiful today and I had great plans to be outside while the kids were out however it's pouring and cold. Oh well. Hope you all have a nice Saturday!!

Well, we all have our own limits ...

Before I found this site, I was drinking 3 bottles of red wine every day .... during december I limited it to 1 bottle and not till 7pm ..... managed 15 days AF in january. Sinve then i've done AF 2-3 days in week but 1 bottle on my drinking nights. On thursday this week I had 2 bottles, (my worst day this year).

I know that I still drink way too much but hey ho, I'm far far better than last year which to me seems good.

Di, My prayers are with your sister.

                          Love & hugs to you all :h :l :h :l

Good Afternoon all you Saturday lovelies!

We have had rain almost all day yesterday, through the night and drizzling all day today. The soccer field is flooded and ducks are swimming in it which is kind of fun to see!

Chrysaliss, The Kudzu under your tongue is such an awesome thing. Within minutes the cravings are calm. Mix and match away, you are right, this is the really cool part of the program.

                            Optimist, what a wonderful sentiment.

Eustacia, so WONDERFUL to see you back here! we have missed you.

BB, Hope you are having a calmer day today, you really are so strong. I am so sorry this has happened. I am sure special needs children are given to those with the most patience and strength. When do all the test results get back in? Please keep us posted on this. We are praying for all of you.

Lushy - y, y, y! don't work too hard today. I see such a difference in your program since you committed to the CDs! You are doing so well!

Dilayne, glad you are showing your sister, sorry to hear that life is hitting her so hard. I have thought about telling my brother, let me know how she takes it.

Judie, Judie, Judie - AF AWESOME!!!! I am glad you are back and in full swing towards life again. We miss you when you are not around here!

Waves, don't know as you see the Staples commercial in the States but I am going to send you an "EASY" button! I know you deserve one about now! Hang in sweetie.

Beth doing your AF weekend! I know you can!
Allie, so glad you are back on the program. I can hear a renewed commitment to your health! One of my favorite toys as a kid was when I got the whole 64 crayon set - with the sharpener on the back!
Laura, tell us all about your birthday.
Rachele it was great to see for a couple days in there.

Mary, it is so strange that you should say that about special needs children!!!

When Kerrie was born she had her first seizure at 3 days old, they whisked her off to ICU and did various tests, I still remember the doctor (who still see's her every three month out of personal interest even though he isn't her primary care doctor anymore).

He held my hand and told me that she had some brain damage, and that she might not walk, talk, or develop properly, and that we would have to take every day as it came. I just sat there crying and said why me? I never drank during pregnancy or smoked, and there were pregnant mums on the ward going off for a smoke, taking drugs etc.etc....

His answer was "god only gives special babies to special parents .... If he gave them to those sort of mums the poor babies wouldn't stand a chance"

10 years later I still of that ....

                              Love to all, Paula xx
