It's a beautiful day here today. The dog is lively and leaping in the sunshine. She did not drink a bottle of wine last night.

I'm kind of annoyed that I didn't get the job as the Oxbridge summer program dean, although it would have been a lot of work. I was looking forward to seeing some of my UK buddies face to face. As it is, I'll be trying to get my new online tutoring business up and running, chauffering my son's girlfriend to school, moving my mother to Dallas, and babysitting my granddaughter. Is this what is means to become a matriarch?

I joined the subscription thing, but I don't know how you get those cute radio buttons that tell what kind of member you are. How do you do that?

Today we are just winging it with the kids. Haircuts for all of them later on that should be enough then I am having girls night out with a couple friends which means dinner and drinks. Will need to watch myself.

Had another busy night @ work last night....just "raking it" in!
Unfortunately, we've got rain again.
I think it's supposed to clear up tomorro or Monday...just in time for my days off! I'm hoping to get my kayak back on the river this week. :woot:
I've been downloading some new paddling music, getting ready.

Beaches, have fun with the girls..drink lots of water in between.

Waves, too funny, no wine for the doggie. My dog loves to lick wine off my finger ( I dip it in my glass & let him taste sometimes) I'm sure he'd drink right from the glass if I let him!

Lushy, glad you are feeling better, that flu crap stinks! Sounds like you bitch-slapped that bug pretty well!

Sophia, sorry your original plans didnt work out, but I think the online tutoring thing is an awesome idea. I may refer my daughter to you, (just dont tell her how we know each other...lol) I may PM you for some info. She's about to embark on college application essays in a few months, and I would be lost coaching her through it.

Oh.. we are all in the process of a family laptop swap which may mean I am not on for a bit. My husband got a brand new one b/c he needed a little 2 pound one that was easier to travel with and more hardrive. So he is giving me his old one (which is not old, and WAY nicer than mine), and the one I just bought in November, I will now pass on to my daughter, and then we are taking hers, clearing off the hardrive and giving it to our oldest son. So hows that for complicated? But the good news is, I get a better, nicer laptop when the process is through.

I had a few tough nights this past week, but nothing earth-shattering, but was feeling a bit down about some things and didnt feel like being "strong". Looking forward to getting back on track this week....

Hello people

Just gone midnight here. my usual MWO time. seem to have lost the ability to sleep these days.

I have had a thrilling day turning my house upside down looking for my daughter's passport... we fly to Portugal on Wednesday, or would if i could find the damn thing. if it doesn't turn up I have to go to London on Monday and apply for a new one, which takes a week to come through. I'll never get new flights because it is the Easter Bank Holiday weekend... AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH.

I have one more room to tear apart. I have not yet had a drink. i reserve the right to do so tomorrow. (in moderation of course.)
