Happy Tuesday everyone,

It's nearly over here in old blighty!!!

BB well done for last night at least you didn't go crazy. Partners huh? Went for a drink with mine today (I'm on day 4 after major crisis talks last week) and whilst I nursed my diet coke he downed a pint then asked me to go to the bar and get him another. Bloody cheek!!!! I told him where he could stick his pint!!!!

And following on from the "You'll following me?" thread from last week. I went by a toyshop called "Barnum's" today and there was a 6 foot Betty Boop in the window, It really made me smile.

Hi all,

I am really struggling to get on here at the moment. Even though my daughter's house is coming on really well there is still so much to do in my own house and the pressure at work is stepping up too. I am not moaning---just trying to explain my lack of posts. I am trying to keep up with readin all your posts ( if only on mods).

Mary, I admire you so much being able to address people personally when your own life is so pressured at the moment.

Gypsi. I am sorry that you are having to cope with all this at a time when you need to concentrate on making a new life for yourself.

Betty and Tawny, thanks for your care and concern .

Wow it's been so long since I've felt a part of the group!

I've been super busy and today is no exception.....I was just dying to log on and read at least the posts for today.

It's so nice to see you all!

I've missed so much, a great big welcome to all that I haven't met yet, I look forward to getting to know each of you.

I did the Meijer Kentucky Derby Mini Marathon over last weekend.

It was my first and I did the 13.1 mile race in 2 hours 41 minutes and 20 seconds. I was number 451 out of 786 women ages 35-39 and number 6,142 out of 11,00 participants overall .I will post pictures when I get them. What a feeling to cross that finish line!

My oldest is being confirmed on Sunday and we are having a big party.

I miss you all!

PP, you're no wuss. When I first started, I couldn't run more than 2/10 of a mile!

I was afraid to hurt myself training too much so I saved everything I had for the race. I ran/jogged 90% of the race. I shocked myself! It was hilly and my MP3 took a crap 1/3 of the way so it was really hard. Toward the end I was just telling myself to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Once I saw the finish line and saw the huge crowd cheering us on I took off in a sprint. I got chills as I crossed over.......I recommend even walking a 1/2 marathon. It was really cool to be a part of it!
