Well I've decided to be optimistic - at least about the weather, which is lookin' sort of OK at the moment. Maybe I WILL get a ride in today, if I ever get of this damned computer that is.

Do you like my new "about to spit" avatahttp: Waves? I really will have to find something sensible for the "new financial year' won't I?

Q.?? A fooie???? I just Love all the different terminology we're exposed to. We call them "dummies" and the expression "spitting the dummy" means , well, getting a bit cross, which I did last night, hence my (temporary) change of avatar.

But I still need a SENSIBLE one for the new financial year. Q. What do you suggest? An abacus perhaps or a calculator?? Or should I just go back to the vulture?

Anywho...going to watch the news after stopping at ONE glass of wine. I would like another (and another) but making myself stop. I know I will be happy tomorrow...

AF last night.

Ducky, hope you managed to stop at one last night. I knew I wouldn't so that's why went AF.

This is seeming to be my new strategy. If I desperately want one I am not having any. If I don't feel I need any, I risk one. So far this month it has worked better than for the last 5 months.

I am supposed to be going out on Sunday evening to celebrate the no-smoking policy being introduced- my friend's idea. Can't decide whether to risk a drink or not. This month if out and about with family or friends I haven't had any at all. Was easier I think.

Anyway, sorry to RAMBLE on. ( Mountain caption link here)

Am in gossipy mood this a.m. RR Something peaceful but not sugary sweet for avatar. I say no to a calculator -you don't seem money oriented and Cashy has the till.

Hey Waves, I did manage it. If I wait and have some wine later in the evening, I can usually have one or two and stop. If I have something before dinner it is harder.

Good luck whatever you decide about the NS celebration. That's a hard one.

The root word of fooie is fooler. A pacifier is intended to "fool" the baby.....or pacify it? So why didn't we just stick with pacifier??? It is funny how we get to all these names for it.
How about a big fat gold spinning, or better yet, shimmering dollar sign for your new avatar?

AF last night because we had a big drive to take the nieces to their parents. I am SO tired. The girls were great, but they are teenagers, lol...Need I say more?

Well done on AF last night. I too am tired today but unlike you have no excuse!

Am thinking I will do non-alcoholic beer tonight cos its a stressful day at school tomorrow so probably safer not to drink.

RR has promised us a "fat " post to start the monthly mods thread for July. I am assuming it will be full of juicy gossip and goodies! I have been full of anticipation for days now!!!!!!

Only teasing RR. But we are expecting you to start it for this month. After all Q started May, I started June so ...

Unless, of course, Ducky steps in to rescue you!

In the whole of last year I had 75 AF days.

This year I have had 72 AF already!

And Ive not even counted the mods days!

Thank goodness for this site.

I still wanted a vat last night though.

But resisted.
