Was absent for a while and will be off on mission again next week. Hope everyone is fine. I'm ok-ish. Just a bit shot from listening to all the blabla-ing during the conferences I have to attend. Talk about hot air! No wonder there's climate change, ha, ha.

Anyway - just a shout to say that I think of you.

I know all about the hot air. Sometimes those conferences and meetings can be such a waste. Glad you are okish and hope that improves to great!

Had just one glass of wine last night - with leftovers - after having worked late. No disruption to sleep, I feel good. It was weird seeing the bottle there and not having the urge to empty it. Not sure if its hypno, L-glut, kudzu or what, just glad on Day 2 of moderation! Short day to day and then a day off Monday whoo-hoo!

Mornin' Everybody!
The play was GREAT! My cousin Carrie "stold" the show! It was hilarious! Definately adult humor! She pulled off the part of of a "she- bitch" quite famously... Lushy you'da been proud! Maybe she's been auditing one of your classes... Or maybe you're getting lessons from her...?
It felt wonderful to get out & laugh it up. The audience was full of relatives in town for my Uncle Ralph's service today. So, unfortunately today will be a whole different atmosphere... but it's all part of it...

Hello all! I have been having a great weekend so far. Hung out with the kids Fri night and went out to dinner last night with hubby and another couple. The food was tropical gourmet. We had ceviche, tuna tare tare and I had a vegetable curry crepe. I also had a lemon drop martini and 2 glasses of wine so still within my definition of moderation. This morning we went for Sunay brunch and to Best Buy to buy electronic games and toys. In a minute we are heading out to a friend's house to swim in the pool and BBQ.

Hi Modsvillers... (I like that Paddy)

Been doing quite well all weekend with the mod squad thing as well. Lots of reasons to go overboard, but am still trying to learn other productive outlets for stress or triggers. I invested in a bunch of good old-fashioned board games that we used to play a lot in the evenings with the older two. Somehow our little one around the age of two used to dump them all out on the floor and lose all the pieces, so I just finally threw them all away and never replaced them. Now our youngest is nine -- that fun age where he can actually really get into some board games that dont make me WANT to drink? Like Candyland?? So we are really into "Sequence". I couldnt believe we actually had the whole family at the kitchen table Friday night playing it! I cant remember the last time we all played a board game together and laughed! Hours flew by, and of course I couldnt drink because we were all around the table, but other than a few fleeting thoughts (rooted in habit I'm sure), I didnt miss it.

We've been socked with tropical storm conditions here, so today we are having to manage our pool having overflowed last night from non-stop rain. Thank goodness the sun is out today!

The service for my Uncle Ralph was beautiful... not too long, thankfully. We did have a nice reception with a great slide show of 100's of family photo's afterwords @ the reception.
Later we had a gathering @ my cousin's place, with a major block party of family...from far & wide. It was great to see everyone... some I hadn't seen in 30 years!

I'm so glad today is over though. I really hate funerals. It's so hard to say goodby to someone who's been in your life since birth.

One of my cousins made copies of the computer slideshow, that was shown @ the reception .. lots of great family memories of growing up here as kids with everyone...:h I'll cherish that forever. Pretty neat.

Great jobs on mods everyone. Did some gardening and had to move a mouse nest out of my car for the last 3 days. This a.m. there were 5 newborn mice in the back seat. With not nest!! No mama around so recreated a new nest with the babies and some drier lint and sunflower seeds for momma. Hope she finds her babies. I felt bad, but I think she's chewed up some wires re the cruise control.

Did well on mods too. Water between wine really works well.:h

Hi all..well did % days AF then had 3 wines(large ) and then realised time to stop and home time!! Was with friends so that was a nice evening. No disgraceful moments thankfully.

Back to 5 nights AF now(allowing myself 2 nights to have a wine or two but only if i am out with friends) which is my plan for June......no more home drinking is my goal for june

good look to all moderators...i might not have given up altogether but its a lovely feeling to have no bottles in the recycling bin!!!
