I just called my Dad,to wish him a happy Father's day.... he told he walked into one of his favorite "watering holes"
years ago on Father's day, and the bartender (a friend of his) yelled out, "Happy Father's Day, You Mother ******!"

Geee, and you guys thought I had a twisted sense of humor...

        Sunday

        HI everyone,
Wanted to check back in. Happy Father's Day to all the mom's and Dad's out there. I went out shopping today and picked my husband up some clams and myself and the kids hamburgers and hots. It should be a nice grill out day since the sun is shining and we really have had a great week.

My daughter is having surgery in a couple weeks and getting her tonsils and adenoids removed which is a good thing. She has been on antibiotics for sinus infections since last Sept. I also am going to see and orthopedic surgeon about my ankle to see if surgery is needed. I am also getting motivated because our work is supporting a weight loss and overall health program and if we participate they reduce our health insurance premium. Quite the incentive.

        Have a great day/night everyone!!

          Hey everyone!

Great job Janie. Home alone is a tough one for me too.

Nancy, sounds like you are feeling a bit better. I survived and had wine, but not a million glasses. Three or four over 5 hours, which is good for me with this crowd. I am aiming for 2 most days with some AF days. The af days have been few and far between though...

I am ready for a new week myself. I have been diagnosed with fibromayalgia, have 30 pounds to lose, need to keep moderating...lots to work on.

          Let's do it!

            Sunday

            Hi everyone,

Just got back from a weekend jaunt on the motorcycle. We rode with 12 bikes, about 500 miles altogether. Other than being really hot, it was really fun. We parked the bikes once we arrived and shuttled or walked everywhere we went. Friday night everyone drank a lot. We were at a festival with outdoor music stages, beer tents, food venders...It was a lot of fun, but I was careful not to go overboard, and thankfully, I do remember every detail of the evening. Saturday I moderated, two beers and two wines over the course of several hours. I am so glad that we went and had fun, and I have nothing to feel embarrassed about or regret in regards to my drinking. Even the hubby, who is mostly a non-drinker, had a few beers (usually he watches my alcohol consumption like a hawk). And as a bonus, I even managed to avoid smoking. I quit a month ago, and this was the first time since I've quit that I have been out in a social setting with a lot of smokers. I would have caved and had just a puff at the end of the night on Friday, but my friend (who smokes) refused to let me have a puff--for my own good. I'm glad I didn't because it was one more reason to be grateful not to have any regrets. It was "normal" biker rally/big group of friends fun. Good luck on a successful week of moderation everyone!

            Julie
