A postcard from Africa...
You painted a very vivid picture Jinja. I'm glad you survived. I have spent little time in Africa (briefly in Kenya in early 70's) but would love to go back sometime. One of my favorite books is "Don't Lets Go to the Dogs Tonight". Your roadblock section reminded me of a scene in her book. I hope you will write more about the glorious things as well as whatever you need to write about the past to help you heal. Thanks for post Hippie. I never meet anybody before with Afro Celt as one of their favorite bands! I have one of their older cds, will have to get on you tube and see whats new.
