    3rd times a charm!

I tried to post more about myself in the first post. I jumbled something tring to down load a spell check. The second time I babbled on long enough and was having to spell check on my cell phone that I lost my wireless connection. Now I am going to try again. (I swear I should not be allowed anything more than a stick and the dirt we walk on to try communicate!) Been drinking for the last 20yrs. Started out as your typical high school party adolesent then it became "who I was and what I did" to about "all I do". AL has caused many problems in my last 11yrs. everything from loosing my drivers license several times for several years to near death accidents to public embarrassment (falling asleep at conserts to talking to important people and not making any sense) I am having troubles letting it go. I have been telling myself that the only people that have a problem with my drinking is my wife, parents and the D.O.T, but that just is not so. I have resently realized that I no longer enjoy any hobbies, activities or people if there is not AL involved. I have a wife, beautifull children a dam good job, house pickett fence, dog the hole 9yrds . Im just not happy unless Im drinking or doing something that is around AL. and I know that aint right! I still doesnt has spell check, so ya'll gona have to forgive my spelln till i get'r fixed! Look forward to visiting with all of you in the near future!

I'm sorry, looking back on my post it could come across as rude. Didn't make smile because of your problem oviously, just some of your commments.... the stick and the dirt, that was funny. I truly wish you all the best, we are all here for you. Even us insensitive ones with there foots in there mouths

        Northwood,

        :welcome:

Have you read the MWO book? It is a very good place to start.

I heartily recommend the supplements, many of which you can buy locally. They help us feel better, period.

I also recommend exercise. The endorphins released do help.

But, in the end, you must want to stop drinking. You can do everything in the book but if you don't want to stop. You won't.

What the book outlines is a way to make the physical and mental aspects easier. But it is still a requirement that you want to quit.

Good luck to you and I, too, look forward to getting to know you.
