    September 21 2007 part 3 of 3 :)

So after 5 and a half months I submitted my application to be able to move into the Sems Apartments (Sems being the name of the lady that donated the land, money to the state of Montana) There are 6 studio apartments 3 up and 3 down. They are less than 5 years old and are really nice. I pay the rent and utilities( water, gas, electricity) A wonderful guy who was a manager at Lowes GAVE me a Couch,a coffee table, an end table,a microwave, and a bedroom dresser. I bought a queen sized inflatable bed, which is a really comfortable bed. I have decorated it with odds and ends from various thrift stores and my favourite place "Goodwill" you would be surprised the wonderful things you can get at Goodwill, plus the money I spend go's to help the Easter seals organization. I wish you could all see how the place looks I am very proud of how I transformed it into a very livable place to be. I have also bought a car a 1995 Mazda Protege' I paid way too much for it , but I had to have it to get back and forth to work as the bus doesn't run on Sundays and quits at 7pm at night which was interfering with work requirements I pay $280 a month for the car but the good thing was I did not have to pay any down payment to get it. I have had some set backs as can be expected. I had a very hard time with a chest infection that would not go away even with strong anti-bio tics it turned out that I have C.O.P.D. which is a nice term for emphysema. It is not too serious right now but later in life may be a problem(That's why I will be starting the Chantix to stop smoking). I have also been having trouble with my circulation in my legs and because of this I decided to accept a position at Directv so instead of being on my feet on a concrete floor for 8 hours a day, I now have a sit down job for 8 hours a day. I am a tech support agent (so if you have Directv and you have problems you may get to talk to me when you call for help. ( I doubt it though we have call centres all over the country) It has been over 15 months since I last drank. I don't have a lot of urges to deal with, I have thoughts every now and then but that's all they are thoughts. I recognise them, address them and do something to make them move on i.e. read, exercise, dance(which is a great way to get rid of them). I tell myself yes it would be nice to kick back and have a few cold one's, but I know those few cold ones today will be the 12 to 18 a day in a months time. I tell myself "I DONT DO THAT ANYMORE". I now weigh 195lbs. I look good, I feel good not only physically but mentally also. I don't go to as many A.A. meetings as I used to go to but I read about recovery and pray to my higher power each day and visit the Share house and share my experience's with the residents every week. As I have said in some of my posts on here I do get a little lonely(OK a lot) but I have been given some great advice from the people on MWO.I love my job at Directv. It gives me great pleasure to be able to help people over the phone to get there satellite T.V. working for them and sometimes it is a great challenge. So there we are. A struggle for many years, A turning point, An action taken, and now a new life.
I try not to dwell on regrets. The one I wish I could change would be I wish I had done this many years a go and not wasted so much precious time, but I am were I am for a reason. I just want the young people who read this to know that what you are doing is not only going to be the greatest challenge you may have in life, but also the greatest gift you can give yourself, and in turn the greatest gift you can give your loved one's. Thank you everybody for reading these writings of mine I hope it gives you a better insight of who I am, not what I am.I look forward to a long and lasting friendship with all of you on MWO. God Bless all of you.

It's nice to be important, however it's more important to be nice

        Hi Sean
Thank you for returning and showing us that it is possible to win this fight. It is emotional to read about someone hitting their bottom. It is a powerful motivator to read the turnaround and transformation that has taken place in your life.Just like you I wish I had realized sooner what I was doing to myself and the people around me.

        Thank You for sharing
