    Where do i start

    Well what a mess !

I feel like shit, over weight and unfit, we have just had 2 new babys and now my partner is sick of my drinking every night and wont put up with it anymore, my business is going down the toilet fast ! sales dropping and so on ...............

I do not want to give up the sauce completly but a break maybe the best option to give the body a rest and clear the mind ? what time fram a month ? 50 days ?

    Where do i start

Welcome. RJ suggests 30 days to start. I think this is the best beginning, to open up and realize you have a problem. Keep posting and reading. Check out the supplements in the health store especially Kudzu and Lglut for cravings. Wishing you the best.

      Where do i start

      Welcome time,

You've come to the right place. If you haven't already, please read the MWO book. You'll get all the info you need to make a good plan for yourself. You really need a plan to set some goals, get yourself organized and begin your journey.
Once you've reached your 30 days you will want to re-evaluate. I know I did and decided to stay AF. I felt so good & was so happy, I didn't want to mess it up by drinking again.

See how you feel after 30 days, you may be surprised

      All the best to you.
      AF since 03/26/09
      NF since 05/19/09
Success comes one day at a time

          Where do i start

Hi time is now and welcome. My suggestion is to start by downloading the book from the health store. RJ outlines the entire program including the supplements and other recommendations for hypnosis CD's, diet and exercise. She also talks about one of the several prescription medications that some people use to help quit or moderate. I found it helpful to understand the complete program as she recommends it, then decide what to do.

For myself, I started with all of RJ's recommendations except for the prescription drug. I will be one year sober soon, and never want to go back to my alcohol soaked life. (I drank daily as you describe, and my marriage and business suffered for it as you describe!)

          Best wishes to you,
          DG

If alcohol made you happy I should be the happiest person alive! I'm not.

                  Hey, there Time!

I'm with you on the 30 trial. I'm on Day 3 this time....
I really enjoyed RJ's book, and have read it a couple times already. I am simply amazed at how much better it makes me feel to hear that there are people like RJ and you and everyone else in this boat who are like me, i.e. who know they need to take better care of themselves but don't totally want to give up. I am hoping that moderation will work for me sometime.... right now I have to give the whole thing a break.

Good luck, Time. We CAN do this!
