Hey - great to talk to you. Yes, I asked my doctor for neltexone (sp?). And it works! But I also orders Topomax from River Pharmacy. My doc says it's ok to take both. I am very grateful to have my urge or craving taken away (or 97%) away. Still have a whiff of a craving, but no biggie. Then, I work it with getting on this site and when I get the hypnosis cd and vitamins (from this site) then it will be a lot better. I am going to work this. So, yes, let's work this together!

I'm New Here - First Day!

Great that your meeting so many new people!! We are a friendly bunch, but since we are a community, sometimes there is a little friction, so learn now to just walk away from those and move on to the sites here that help your journey. It's the healing here that is the basis for everything, but I personally like to have fun along the way. We, as abusers of any substance, are naturally a bit thin-skinned at times. We have sometimes spent years hiding our problem, making excuses, worrying about being found out. It breeds some paranoia, at best. I don't mean to sound down at all, just want you to understand everyday here is not a rose garden, but its here we can all really be ourselves; honest, for the first time for many. Don't worry about what anyone might think of you - its cathartic to really let things out at last. I hope this isn't too much; I just remember a year ago when I started, and it took me a long while to find my footing, so I really want to help you as much as I can along the way. If there is one thing I want you to know about me, regardless of anything else, it is that I want only success and a better life for everyone who comes here in pain and that everyone finds what they are searching for.

9 weeks - wow! I got my first shot of Vivitrol yesterday. Still have a few cravings (last night) but got through just fine. On my 4th AF day! Did you have weird dreams the first few days? Amcal
