Through a Glass Darkly - My Story

Hi John, god I just want to give you a big long hug. As i have sat and read your story my little boys has come up and wiped my tears and said "dont cry mummy i still love you" WELL as you can imagine that made me cry harder! Your testimony has touched my heart and for some reason I feel some of your pain.
John you sound like a strong man that has been depleted from the most horrific tragedy and it is no suprise you suffer PTSD. But you ARE on the right track and that is something to be thankful for.
The fact that you are willing to take the the hard path to recover from alcohol and devastation is admirable.
I would like to congratulate you on your hard yards so far and encourage you that it will indeed get easier.
    Love always, Jo.xoxo

John...I just now saw this...how sad and tragic. I am so sorry for your losses....
I remember 9/11 as the day I started chemo for breast cancer. I was sitting in a chair, getting IV's put in my arm. My husband was sitting with me holding my hand and we were staring at the tv in horror.....
I am so proud of how far you have come. I know you can rebuild your relationship with your daughter and...now are you are training again!!!! That just blows me away.
I love my family more than alcohol.:h
