First post, so please be gentle...
I have always struggled with Alcohol, since I was 18, I used it to make me relax and switch off, few cans of beer a night, a bottle of wine maybe. But it was EVERY night,for about 6 years, I kept trying to remember when I had last been without drink and it was pointless trying to remember because it had been years.
I then went to Iraq with the airforce, which meant I had to go tee total for 4 months straight, it was great and when I got back I stayed sober for abut 18 months only drinking socially once or twice a month, completley under control.
Now its getting back to they way I used to be, drinking every night, maybe one night off a fortnight. I dont want it to be this way, but cant find the motivation to overcome the craving.
I hope you can all help me by sharing your sotries and victories and hope that I can take inspiration from this and stop my own habit from getting as bad as it used to be.
