I have been drinking for about 7 years and the last 4-5 years everyday. 4 to 6 glasses of wine is the drink of my choice. I currently take 100 mg of Topamax daily for migraine prevention. ( doesn't seem to do much to eliminate cravings) In my search of an addiction doctor i've been told that part of the treatment is attending AA meeting. Does this forum take place of AA meeting or do you also attend meetings?

Hey A1! Welcome!
I didn't take any supplements and my life could have been easier if I had (my usual path). Folks have wonderful results with craving reductions using L-Glut and Kudzu. I'd like to invite you over to the Newbie's Nest, it is very active and is THE place to begin this journey! The link is in my signature line below. Also see a link to the Tool Box! There are 100's of tips and coping skills there to help you thru these first days...towards the last page is a post on the supplements dosage. MWO was the only tool I used to get sober, but some folks do better with the face to face aspect of AA. I like the convenience and anonymity of MWO...(altho everyone knows me here, my real life neighbors don't know I'm an ALK) So to answer your question, this may be just what you need to get AL out of your life, but you may find you want to do some other things, too. Come on over to the nest...you'll be in great company! Go to the last page for the most current posts. Welcome aboard! Byrdie
