Hi Skyler,
You did well finding this place.
You'll find a lot of good advice here. You have so much going on in your life and I don't want to sound patronising, but you're still young; young enough to make a change before things really get out of hand.
Just stop for today. One day.
That's how everyone here started.
Good Luck to you.

Hi Skyler, first of all you are not a weak person, just confused , scared and very young.
Like Popeye says just do it for today. I wish I had known at 21 what I know now. You
have the opportunity to do something about your problem, keep in touch whith mwo
and you will work it out.
Best wishes Paula..

Like Paula said you are very young and you are facing some major times of adversity.
Just take it one day at a time. And as for your location? You are certainly not "too far away for anyone to care" You could be on the Moon and we'd still try to help you.
Read as many posts as you can, you will find great strength here. I wish you and your financee the very best for your future.

Skylar we all care and reach around the world, wherever there is a computer. Of course you are scared. My prayers will be with you. Can you get the book and the vitamins and cd's from the store on the web site? Everything talked about in the book is sold here except the prescription medication, and many people here do not use it. As everyone said, just for today, read here and do other thing than your normal pattern. Check in tomorrow with the Just starting out folks and let us know how you are. Go to the long timers posts for inspiration. We are strong together.

Skylar:
I would be scared with all of the challenges and changes you are facing right now too. However, I wish that when I was 21 I was smart enough to recognize that I had a drinking problem and wanted to do something about it. You are saving yourself from a life of pain and trouble. Be safe and check in here as often as you can. We will be with you where ever you go.Learning to live life on the outside of a bottle. :flower:

Hi Skyler and :welcome: -
Ditto what everyone else has said so just sending big :l . Your future will be yours for the taking when you get back and I'm confident that at that point you will be able to make decisions to head you in the right direction. In the meantime, be safe - it's normal to feel terrified - I'm sure every other soldier will be feeling the same so use whatever support is available to you - including us! As people have already said, we're your family too, so lean on us.
Take care x:rays: Arial
