Hey Cap,
Know what you mean. I stay home too as all my friends want to meet up for a drink!. I have been lonely for as long as I can remember except for a breif period 2 years ago but alcohol put paid to that as well. Or should i say i allowed it to put that relationship to rest. hang in there it does get better as time goes on. People except and we change our ways.

Glad you joined us, you'll get a lot of support here. Have you talked to your GP? it may be a little bit of depression. Loneliness is really a hard one and being alone makes it easier to drink.
