Hey, I was a great Bowie fan. I remember when I was young (the early 70's) listening to his newer stuff, changes* and the like. I did not get the earlier stuff but then again I may not have given it a chance. Unlike Genesis, a band I got into with Collins and then went backward to Gabriel, a band I play daily and are only eclipsed by my hero Robert Smith.
So my offering today is;

The quality of the instrument playing, lyrically Smith was years before his time. When you consider the trilogy set from C 2002 was the greatest tri output I have ever heard, Bloodflower's , Pornography and Disintegration. Of course The Cure had some great "In your face" hits but for me their album tracks made them.
*I loved Changes, "and these children that they spit on as"........
